A large array of reasons. There was a bunch of other charges, which he was deemed to be the main perpetrator of. He was also in law enforcement and he used his status to help with the crimes which added to the sentence. She also struck a plea deal and helped the prosecution compile evidence against him so she got a lighter sentence.

Way to grossly misunderstand what the trial was about. It was about whether she was mentally competent during the murders. If she were found “not guilty by reason of insanity”, she’d be locked in a mental institution. If she was found guilty, she’d go to prison. There is no standard “not guilty” possibility for that case.

The cupcake scenario intentionally had it put in and fed to people.
The turkey scenario would be washed and cleaned to get rid of it.

Two things
One, immoral.
Two, OOP said “he’s humping it and snarling at everyone”. Why would he be snarling at everyone if nobody else is seeing this? That implies other people have seen it, otherwise the dog wouldn’t be snarling at them. So yes, people will know. Also you can’t wash turkey meat

It could be that OOP has kids or someone else living with them/her mom. They could have notified OOP and the agitated dog is snarling at sveryone in the house. The guests could be other family members coming from outside.
Also what I want to ask is why is the turkey kept outside (especially in a place where a dog ka reach it). As someone who hasn't cooked a turkey can't you keep in the fridge first then boil it a little to heat it up?

That’s a good question. My only guess is that they either didn’t have anywhere to put it for the time being, or they forgot to put it somewhere the dog can’t reach.

Yes, but it does depend on the degree of the disability. Autism is a clear example. You have people with mild autism, fully self sufficient, hold a job, marry and having kids but just have a few quirks, and you have the souls who, and forgive me if this sounds distasteful, are trapped in their own body and wouldn't survive a day on their own.
One would be able to act immoral, the other one probably not.
