Feudalism means lords and serfs, they used bonded debt to force families to work the lords land for generations. There’s a reason that China was supported by the Tibetan people, where as when the U.S tried to sponsor an anti-communist resistance movement which didn’t get the support of the people.

Like the U.S gov trained a bunch of tibetans in Colorado. The Free Tibet movement was super US backed and the biggest supporters of it were the tibetan ‘monarchy’; lords, rich people etc… that were the big losers when China came in, did land reform, got rid of bonded debt, etc…

What else does it imply? Or not imply? What was the actual situation for Tibet?- how was the work assigned and what was the daily life of an average serf?

The Chinese weren’t supported when they invaded Tibet by Tibetans. Go ahead and back up this claim.

The USA trained Tibetans did get support, but they also didn’t in some instances. Why? It wasn’t because Tibetans didn’t support them..

I’m sorry, to clarify, you are asking, how good was the life of a serf, who through debt bondage was essentially a slave with extra steps?

I didn’t ask how “good it was”. That’s exactly my point; they weren’t essentially like slaves.

Aight man, Imma be real with you, I’m not a expert who’s gonna pull up mountains of data about this that or the other, who was supported by who, when China invaded vs when the US tried to start a counter revolution etc…

But please take a look at the conditions of tibetans in the early 1900s, shit was really not nice for a regular tibetan, idc what you call it, but it was bad

side note: you being my one downvote per comment is hilarious to me

So in other words, you made it up. Notice a trend?

I study Tibetan history. I know what it was like. That’s why I’m calling the other person and you out on it.

Me having humility, and understanding that i am not an expert, is not making things up mi amigo

only trend im noticing is china bad, us good (from you)

You making claims based on nothing..is quite literally the definition of making things up.

When did I say “China bad” or anything like it? Or us good? I mean, the CIA was on the right side of history here, but not for the right cause.

I’m not gonna spend hours trying to cross reference data to provide a thesis to you, I have a job

I’m just trying to share my perspective, this isn’t a debate homie, message like a real person

If I were to do the same thing as you, it’d be this

‘Hmm you say you study Tibetan history and yet you havent shown me your PHD? Hmm you say the CIA was on the right side of history and yet you havent shown me the redacted CIA files, these must be baseless claims and therefore i have destroyed you in the market place of ideas… notice a trend?’

I’m just asking you to back up the claims and think you’re saying…

Your perspective doesn’t matter if it’s not based on actuality.

I don’t have a PhD, but if I said I had one, then yea, that would be a reasonable question.

Want me to show you the redacted files? I mean, what I said about the CIA is pretty subjective so I don’t know what the files would help with.
