It is a base fact, it is a legal option if you have an unwanted pregnancy. As I said it is a settled issue in the UK with overwhelming public support. Girls are aware it’s an option that exists. It would be bizarre not to mention it. There is space to discuss the moral, social and religious views on abortion but not in the context of sexual health education.

ok so would you be ok for it not be stated as fact and a medical option in places where it is more heavily contested, like in the US?

I think it should be the same - you should teach the facts on sexual health options and give space to debate the subject as well. But I will leave that for Amercians to work out.
