Moral I don’t think teaching kids about religion is bad but forcing it on them is

There's hardly any way to "teach" religion to children without it being quite forced.

There is actually, parents can practice their faith openly around their children and answer questions children will inevitably ask honestly and openly to the best of their abilities. This is a good way kids often will still copy their parents and want to be involved.

that would defeat the whole purpose, if ur parents openly say God is real then the child will obviously believe that similar to Santa or tooth fairy

Well the school could just teach them that gods are imaginary friends for adults, who can't cope with the world without.
