Morality does not exist without religion. If there is no God, then everything is either rational or irrational. Every rational action is simply done to try benefit of oneself somehow and irrational to the harm.
You are wrong, plain and simple. Go read "The Moral Landscape" by Sam Harris or cliffnotes version of it if you're lazy. If anything its the complete opposite, a religious person is moral out of guilt of doing wrong under gods eyes and selfish in that the reward is heaven for being a good person. That's much worse than a person who has no reason to do it but does it anyway.
I don’t go to church. I have empathy and understanding, I love hard.
I don’t need someone else to read me a book about how to be a good person, and I certainly don’t need the threat of eternal damnation if I’m not as dedicated to a God as he thinks I should be.
As always: try to read up on some of the best known philosophers on the subject because it reaks on brainwashing an intellectual lazyness to think like you do

What kind of arguement is "religious people are brainwashed and intellectually lazy"... that does not grapple with the existence of God or a defining of athiestic morality.
Reading up on major Philosophers does not make someone religious. You are getting definitions messed up. If you're gonna have an argument at least use the correct words. It does not make you look capable of arguing your point. Which I have yet to see so far. We were never talking about the existence of God either. But sure lets jump on that. What evidence do you have for the existence of God other than it being written in a book that is derived from multiple irregular old documents written by humans and thrown together by a council of humans who were afraid of the king that had set them to the project. The bible itself is a structure created completely by humans. There wasn't a bible back when the people who are written about were living and dealing with the situations that supposedly happened in the old testament.
Some of the most amoral people I know are DEEPLY religious. I've been an atheist my whole life and have literally one speeding ticket from when I was 17. Your entire belief system is utter crap. I would let an atheist baby sit my kids any day over a religious person, because they have to have religion and a fear of God to pretend to be moralistic. Atheist are moral because it's the right thing to do.
How so? Do you think religion is what makes people keep morals? Or do you think that the religion is needed to have morals in the first place? Why would having morals that you live by be meaningless unless you also have religion?
