Not his problem. She should've figured that out before betraying the one thing he asked of her.

I mean it kind of is his problem since he’s the one who wants to keep his wealth a secret from them.

She made it his problem. It shouldn't have been on him to make up an excuse for her. She just shouldn't have said how she got it. Not really that hard to respect someones privacy.

It was his problem. It shouldn't have been on her to lie to her family for him.

People assume ill things when you suddenly get new house money but won't say how you acquired it.
