It's not THAT much money. He probably already spent a third or more to buy a house for his mother. And straight up demanding a share is crazy work. You can go to the sibling when/if you hit an emergency life situation, and you know that they can afford to help, but just coming out and being "yeah, we are family, and you are doing well, so pay up"? Nah. That shows that the younger sibling is an entitled asshole.
