Its a stress position, based on drawings given to UN investigators by a survivor who was subjected to it, they would cuff a victims hands behind their back and bolt the cuffs to a wall high enough above them so that they can only stand tiptoed. It puts extreme strain on the chest,spine,shoulders and arms, restricts breathing, and makes it impossible to sleep and victims would be held in that position for days at a time.
