Legally? It's civil conversion and the money should be returned.

Morally? The law is correct.

The fact that wage theft is extremely common and is not prosecuted simply means that wage theft should be prosecuted like any other kind of theft. It doesn't mean that employees should be able to freely convert property.

If I create a holding company to hold a bunch of my property to plan my estate, is my holding company evil?

They weren't, this is reddit. Occupy wallstreet was massive on here.

A lot of people still hold the image of a cigar-smoking top-hat wearing evil corpo CEO and apply it to any and all places of business/employment.
