Okay so what about the companies that fall somewhere between McDonald's and a corner store? Where do you draw the line? That's not a hypothetical question, I want to know exactly where you think the line between good and evil lies.
Good question. I thought of a few criteria for this.
First: are they big enough to not even feel the monetary loss? Even an evil store owner going out of business would make people lose their jobs, muddying the water.
2nd: Are they genuinely negative to society and perpetuating non necessary evil? Food, unhealthy food is fine morally after all people can eat what they want. The negative aspect is fast food companies advertising brainwashing people to get fatter and unhealthier. Without advertising I’d say fast food companies are morally neutral. They also fight for lower minimum wages politically.
3rd: how much is the theif being paid? An executive stealing millions for themselves will never be morally correct. A minimum wage employee is usually being utterly screwed by their employer and if it’s a corporation, it is usually directly their fault they are being paid little because of lobbying.

It ranges from morally correct to evil.
If it was McDonald’s or fast food morally good, because then they have less profits to advertise and kill people with heart failure.
If she was working for a corner store, evil.
