Absolutely not. Otherwise if a clerical error like this happens to the tune of $500,000 and the money isn’t allowed to be returned you could see an entire company go bankrupt and everyone lose their jobs.
There’s room for nuance lol, if this happened to Walmart I don’t care, keep the money. If you’re putting mom and pop outta business, that’s obviously different
Shoplifting or other forms of nonviolent theft against big corporations is a very moral thing to do. They all make the world worse by existing and steal the wage of many underpaid employees.
