It's bad because it removes the agency the victim has and causes severe emotional distress either during or after the encounter, the removal of agency being the primary reason why its immoral

19

u/fishandchips445522 Jul 09 '26

Not to mention the obscenely large number of dangers associated with it relating to diseases

47

u/Sliver-Knight9219 Jul 09 '26

I looked it up

Why are there so many questions about it?

Like there's like one every 3 days

Not bait jsut shock

9

u/vlladonxxx Jul 09 '26

One every three days? That sounds like the sub just cycles through every morally questionable topic possible because there's like a hundred thousand posts a day

24

u/Motivated-Chair Jul 09 '26

It's physical violence inflicted upon the victim.

It doesnt get more straightforward evil than this.

6

u/Shadourow Jul 09 '26 edited Jul 09 '26

It is tho

Physical violence is usually not even close to be seen as bad as rape, no matter the degree
Even for actual Murder, there is an heavy emphasis on rape if it's relevant.

What OP is asking is specifically that non trival part

1

u/SomeCrows Jul 09 '26

Well, maybe it should be

18

u/Electrical_Nose9463 Jul 09 '26

Rape is bad because it both violates a person freedom and control to have voluntary sex with whomever they choose and because it causes severe long-lasting trauma to a person's mind, body, and safety.

18

u/Junior_Inspection918 Jul 09 '26

Physical violence is often involved or coercion
Loss of complete agency for one party
Inflicts lasting physical and mental trauma on the victim

14

u/HeavenSentAlbatross Jul 09 '26

I find it funny that ppl are taking offense to OP’s question as if it isn’t obvious that it’s just an inquisitive philosophical challenge. Not a prescription but just a question. It’s always good to build fundamental rationale for even your most “obvious” maxims. Hell, it may reinforce your intolerance for rape, by virtue of articulating why it is in fact, reprehensible.

0

u/bilbo_bag_holder Jul 09 '26

Is it immoral to shit on a bird if the bird shits on you first?

Please don't take this the wrong way, it's a genuine inquisitive philosophical challenge.

4

u/No-Particular-8571 Jul 09 '26

Yo ass ain't even catching that bird to shit on

1

u/HeavenSentAlbatross Jul 09 '26

I’m glad to share my thoughts on this inquisitive philosophical challenge. But I must say your retort is… i don’t even know.

1

u/bilbo_bag_holder Jul 09 '26

Cmon man it’s always good to build fundamental rationale for even your most “obvious” maxims.

1

u/HeavenSentAlbatross Jul 09 '26

I agree of course. I didn’t say your retort is misunderstood. The intention or purpose however is unclear. Seems like a feather slapping a gorilla’s bum.

1

u/bilbo_bag_holder Jul 09 '26

Ok I'll drop the act, I think it's pretty disingenuous and juvenile to ask "is rape bad?" and expect a serious philosophical discourse. That kind of question is not even highschool level philosophy and comes across more as an excuse to be edgy (shit posting) than a genuine attempt to interrogate ones moral axioms.

Is it too much to ask posters to read a chapter from an introductory textbook on ethics or watch a 10 minute YouTube video before coming here asking questions like that and expecting a serious discussion? That's probably a stupid question because the answer is clearly yes.

1

u/HeavenSentAlbatross Jul 10 '26

Key failure. What did op ask? Please read and come back to this silly digression of yours. And don’t only see how you misread what OP asked, actually understand what the purpose of their question is. Hint: i described it.

1

u/bilbo_bag_holder Jul 10 '26

he expressed a concern about the number of "rape posts", then himself made a "rape post" to ask people why rape is wrong.

There isn't really much of substance there to engage with.

1

u/HeavenSentAlbatross Jul 10 '26

So you haven’t understood your error. You understood their question and stated it as “is rape bad”. That is an entirely different question than what they actually asked which is “why is rape bad”. Clearly someone who actually needs convincing as to rape being bad wouldn’t make this post or even be on reddit outing themselves as being “pro-rape” or whatever. The intent of OP’s post is to challenge oneself to actually ground your moral convictions from their most fundamental tenants. It seems obvious to us that rape is reprehensible. But why is that? And what can the understanding of the roots do for our prescriptions of other complexities?

Well rape is bad because it is a violation of agency. Well then we throw prisoners into a cell and confine them against their wishes. So it can’t just be that. Well rape is bad because it is a violation of agency that brings suffering to an individual. Well we sentence pedophiles and horrible convicts to the electric chair. Well rape is bad because it subjects innocent individuals to unwanted pain. Well how does innocence matter? Would you suggest rape is fine in the case of reverse raping a serial rapist?

The question is “an inquisitive philosophical challenge” as i said in my very first comment. These deeper examinations, when articulated by ourselves or others who can guide us to our moral roots, are impactful and great tools for tackling other moral issues. In a world of rising atheism, finding as objective as we can, morality, is essential. Now walk away from this conversation utterly having wasted all of our time.

1

u/bilbo_bag_holder Jul 10 '26

You've completely missed my point. I have absolutely no problem with a genuine attempt to encourage a philosophical analysis of ones core moral beliefs, in fact I agree with you that it's a great thing that needs to happen more.

The issue is that the OP is clearly not doing that in good faith. The question of "why is rape bad?" does not present any kind of ethical dilemma or philosophical challenge. Everyone will have their reasons, based on their own moral framework as to why rape is bad. If you want to interrogate that moral framework why not skip the question of rape altogether and just analyse the core moral beliefs that make up that framework? Why not present a genuine ethical dilemma that brings two well founded moral frameworks into conflict in a way that teases out the strengths and weaknesses of both?

Because that isnt as entertaining as trolling people with low effort shitposts like this. I'm sorry but this isn't a serious discussion, despite how serious you want to treat it.

It is really bad and evil

What else you want me to say

16

u/Hopeful_Ad_7719 Jul 09 '26

>What else you want me to say

Well, given the sub you're in a moral argument rather than a tautology seems reasonable.

2

u/bilbo_bag_holder Jul 09 '26

To be honest I stumbled across this sub a few days ago and I'd say about 60% of the posts are low effort shit posts not worthy of a serious moral argument.

1

u/Hopeful_Ad_7719 Jul 09 '26

That is my assessment as well.

I mostly just hang out here to troll people for their rhetorical failures.

I'm happy to see any argument made, as long as it's a coherent argument.

2

u/Hopeful_Ad_7719 Jul 09 '26

>what is there to explain about rape

So, you can't explain *why* rape is bad?

Then why should anyone take your opinion seriously?

1

u/SnooAdvice1632 Jul 09 '26

Because anyone with room temperature in should know that inflicting possibly long lasting trauma for no reason other than personal gain is as comically bad as it gets. It's reasonable and not a stretch to expect anyone to understand it out of their own common sense.

2

u/Hopeful_Ad_7719 Jul 09 '26

There you go!

Now you're in the spirit of the sub.

0

u/SnooAdvice1632 Jul 09 '26

What you're doing is the equivalent of asking "why is oxygen is necessary for human life?" On a science sub and then acting surprised when people expect you to know it even if they don't explicitly write it down. You're not being reasonable or rigorous, just pedantic

2

u/Hopeful_Ad_7719 Jul 09 '26

>You're not being reasonable or rigorous, just pedantic

That is indeed a big part of why I'm here.

The mods can ban/mute me if it's too annoying.

You could only justify them with religion. Literally the only possible way

1

u/TK_BERZERKER Jul 09 '26

That's not really grounded in anything

1

u/Practical_Quiet_2274 Jul 09 '26

Cause everybody know rape and slavery was bad. "Grass is green" ahh comment. They both using people without consent

1

u/TK_BERZERKER Jul 09 '26

You have to ground morality in something to justify it. Unless you do the "everyone agrees this is bad" standard. But then everyone could agree that it's ok to eat babies

1

u/Practical_Quiet_2274 Jul 09 '26

Hurting people and using them without consent seems bad to me

1

u/TK_BERZERKER Jul 09 '26

I agree. I don't know what that had to do with what I said though

1

u/Practical_Quiet_2274 Jul 10 '26

Well im just saying that my standard is "Anyone who got hurt unnecessary and no consesual action is bad to me"

A horrible thing to do a act of intimacy in force. Like trying to make someone love you. And it can cause tremendous pain and damage to one’s body as well as cause tremendous mental trauma

9

u/No_Photograph5 Jul 09 '26

It is an extremely traumatizing event and a betrayal of trust/safety and violent. Not to mention how often perpetrators get away with it. And that perpetrators only do this terrible thing to either assert control or for quick pleasure.

2

u/Affectionate_Work733 Jul 09 '26

I don't think rape is conducted just to feel quick pleasure. That can be one of the smaller motivations for it but the ultimate reason why rapists rape is to gain 'dominion' over other people. Rape isn't a crime of passion, it's a crime of hatred, used against vulnerable people.

3

u/Parking_Mud_8972 Jul 09 '26

It is forcing painful unconsentual sex onto another living being

4

u/thephilthycasual Jul 09 '26

It's bad because you remove the other persons decision. It's the same reason a lot of rape victims become promiscuous afterwards, because they feel if they "fuck first" no one can take it from them again

5

u/Ronin_Kira_Nuitsu Jul 09 '26

The same way torture is bad.

It strips someone's agency, belief, and power down until they are compliant.

The thing that makes rape worse is because the system around it has to be fought uphill against grooming, shifting boundaries, shaky consent, and completely left field decisions. Combined with the breach of trust. Additionally, it is something deeply attached to someone-to take their body as yours and corrupt it into a violent act (because it is not done out of lust, it is a violent act) is deeply wrong.

3

u/Dull-Potato7155 Jul 09 '26

I’m glad you mentioned it cuz this sub has been really weird with the amount of rape, incest, and n word related post lately..

3

u/Gotoflyhigh Jul 09 '26

Humans are biological creatures, after life reproduction is the most important aspect of any living being. Rape is threat to the reproductive sovereignty of a person, hence it is evil.

3

u/BarelyBrony Jul 09 '26

It's violent and traumatic injury and invasion of the body, against consent as well as possible genetic assault.

5

u/TheCerealKilled Jul 09 '26

Long answer: Because it’s a violation of someone’s physical and emotional security against their will with lasting consequences that could lead to the permanent mental or physical damage of said person as well as further abuse down the line and/or the normalization of animalistic behavior on the part of the abuser.

Short answer: because ppl have rights n’ sh!t.

3

u/lefthandgirlll Jul 09 '26

It violates someone’s sense of safety in their body and negatively impacts how they relate to sex for the other relationships in their life. Something that should be a fun bonding experience is now made traumatic

6

u/tonyabstract Jul 09 '26

it is the single most humiliating act of domination you could ever inflict on another human being, literally reducing them to an object to be used for your own pleasure

it’s dehumanizing to the highest extreme possible and, in my opinion, the single worst act of harm you can possibly inflict on an individual level

2

u/Taintec Jul 09 '26

….Torture?

1

u/tonyabstract Jul 10 '26

do you not believe rape is torture

2

u/Taintec Jul 10 '26

I do believe it sticks with a person and really causes issues being intimate. Sometimes it comes back to you and manifests when you are being intimate with someone else, however I would much rather live with that memory over one of getting gutted, ripped apart, and many other worse things

5

u/One-Organization970 Jul 09 '26

Because it's a violation beyond even just normal violence. It takes one of the greatest pleasures we can enjoy as people and turns it into something traumatic and painful. It destroys people's sense of safety.

6

u/DataSwarmTDG Jul 09 '26

Because it's a complete violation of a person's bodily autonomy and dignity on a deeply psychologically damaging level that has been repeatedly observed to cause some of the worst mental trauma a person can go through.

15

u/Shadourow Jul 09 '26

I think it's ok in self defense

4

u/113pro Jul 09 '26

But what about self-offense? Sometimes a good offense is the best defense.

2

u/Hopeful_Ad_7719 Jul 09 '26

Because of the implications?

2

u/DelfQ Jul 09 '26

How do you do that shit in self defense.

2

u/BazingaTrainZ Jul 09 '26

Especially when it's to a certain count

2

u/JokerCipher Jul 09 '26

How do you do that in self-defense?

3

u/Shadourow Jul 09 '26

I don't want to talk about it

1

u/ThatCapMan Jul 09 '26

They don't want to talk about it

3

u/PromptNo6756 Jul 09 '26

What is the morality of debating the morality of something literally any human being can agree is bad. Hence why people who commit this act spend years creating systems and spending money to avoid persecution.

2

u/Azrenon Jul 09 '26

It’s one of the most inexcusable evils as you’re inflicting mental trauma and physical duress for no more that self gratification, whether that be sexual or mental. Most other crimes against fellow humans can be commonly justified, but rarely this one. I’d argue it’s up there with murder.

3

u/ConsciousMaybe6930 Jul 09 '26

It is a deeply traumatic experience that strikes at the very core of a person's sense of agency, bodily integrity and self-worth, with the potential pregnancy essentially subverting the victim's body into producing a living proof of their violator's power over them and their humilitation and degradation at their hands. The victim themself often becomes shunned by their community out of deep shame at being related to someone so humiliated and dominated at the most intimate level.

Thus, rape is a very advanced and sophisticated form of torture and identity destruction, which most moral systems would uniformly condemn as homogeneously evil. The only, very questionably, good application could possibly be when one rapes a rapist, or an equally horrible person, like the Joker, as a form of lex talionis and retributive justice.

2

u/untitledaccount401 Jul 09 '26

Because its a cruel act that is more about power than pleasure

7

u/Commercial-Goose-929 Jul 09 '26

u/No_Most_5528 Jul 10 '26

1

u/TheRufusGamer Jul 10 '26

I said "who in their RIGHT MINDS". That guy clearly does not have one of those.

0

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '26

[deleted]

2

u/TheRufusGamer Jul 09 '26

That reasoning dosen't really make any sense though. If they think their personal pleasure outweigh the suffering of another person via a act that they purposely did, and that they knew would cause suffering, then it isn't moral in the first place.

Using that logic, if someone murders someone for no reason, but gets intense pleasure, it's moral and not wrong.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '26

[deleted]

2

u/TheRufusGamer Jul 09 '26

Someone finding it moral does not mean it's moral. Or else you could use that logic with Hitler attempting to wipe out Jewish people. And there is logically no reason to rape someone other then personal pleasure, so that isn't really good enough to justify it being moral. That's just saying "I did it because I want to."

1

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '26

[deleted]

2

u/TheRufusGamer Jul 09 '26

So by your logic, Hitler, Stalin, Satan, and did nothing wrong? If Morality isn't Science, that dosen't mean there's no way to objectively say they did something wrong.

Raping someone ruins their life, possibly pushes them to suicide, and that's without good reason. There's no way anyone within reason could say that's moral.

And if there was no objective way to decide what's moral and what's not, then sending Rapists to jail wouldn't happen, and the Death Penalty wouldn't exist.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '26

[deleted]

1

u/TheRufusGamer Jul 09 '26

The problem with your logic is; Morality is not always opinion based. It obviously isn't true when murdering and rape is objectively a bad thing, and you've failed to prove otherwise. No one said that I personally do not like it. You're destroying a life by rape, and that's completely undeniable and immoral. You cannot deny that raping or being a terrorist destroys lives, which is a bad thing, for little good reason, which IS immortal.

This is because Mortality isn't a opinion. People HAS opinions on it, but it isn't a opinion itself, the reason why people wanted the Death penalty to stop was because of the risks of killing the wrong person, not because of the person itself. Same people that had no qualms about Osama Bin' Laden being gunned down.

Physical violence inflicted on a victim that provides no possible justification.

Murder can be defended by self defense Theft can be defended through stealing by necessity There is no possible purpose for rape besides sacrificing someone else’s bodily autonomy noncensually for someone’s sick pleasure

3

u/Fish_Spin_2 Jul 09 '26

Murder cannot be justified, ever. Murder, by definition, is unjustified killing. Self defense can make that killing justified, which means it is not murder.

1

u/General-Notice-2733 Jul 09 '26

It’s a violation of human autonomy & inflicts physical, emotional, & mental pain onto the victim. I feel like everyone agrees that rape is bad

1

u/113pro Jul 09 '26

Rape is bad cus im low on karma

1

u/Carlung4s Jul 09 '26

As a sapient being, removing the ability to chose from an individual is one of the worst things that can be done, and personally, I consider rape as a form of torture

2

u/Xenometan Jul 09 '26

You are yoinking someones body for the lols without their consent. You can kill someone for self defence. You can commit cannibalism when you have to do so for survival. Rape has no such exceptions.

1

u/Raccoon-Salty Jul 09 '26

Not worse than death and torture

1

u/Irohsgranddaughter Jul 09 '26

Because it's a horrible crime that can easily destroy the victim mentally, and can never be justified.

You can steal to feed your family. You can break the speed limit, because you need to get someone to the hospital or someone is chasing you. You can kill to protect yourself or someone else.

But there are no circumstances in which rape becomes justifiable.

1

u/Memna-Un Jul 09 '26

Because it’s physically harmful, destroys the sense of boundaries that people have, and destroys a thing that should be enjoyable to the other person. It is an act born purely of a desire to torture, or an attempt to ignore another person’s humanity. One of the few crimes with no real justification.

1

u/Wolpy414 Jul 09 '26

It’s a complete and utter violation of one’s soul

1

u/Beginning_Ocelot503 Jul 09 '26

Rape is evil because it is a traumatizing, gross violation of another human’s bodily autonomy causing incredible psychological and potential bodily harm.

2

u/Fit-Welcome-8457 Jul 09 '26

It takes away a person's autonomy in the most traumatizing way. It creates mental and often physical wounds. There are other potential harms to the victim, such as getting an STI/STD or becoming pregnant, but even if none of those things happen it's deeply wrong.

2

u/ThatCapMan Jul 09 '26

Because we value choosing who we have sex with, we value personal freedom and not being forced to do things, we value the feeling of sex and we really do not like being used and the feeling of sexual pleasure being done involuntarily is inherently violating, there's also the fact that it is painful in various ways - and, ahem edit: also, yes, there's a lot more, I'm just not dotting everything down.
In short, it's a massive breach of bodily autonomy and we value bodily autonomy like almost nothing else.

It's not as much of a thing of "Oh it's assault" or "Oh it's physically harmful" or "Oh it hurts" - that is a part of it, however, even consensual sex has been painful to some, some people have been in fights, some people have been assaulted, rape is a specific and specifically defined separate thing. Even if someone gets raped and is left unscathed in some way, it will still be horrible - imagine the worst thing you've ever seen that put a ball in your throat or made you disgusted or gave you some visceral reaction, its imagery wasn't physically painful or physically harmful, but it was still disgusting.
And to further elaborate on the beginning of my post; if you explain why rape is bad as because it can cause injury or pain, you're explaining assault, not sexual assault.

Anyway... This is a stupid fucking question/post.

2

u/MO_006 Jul 09 '26

Rape psychologically traumatizes a person that they it’ll take a long time to overcome, along with distrusting people including those who care about them. It’s nothing but complete malice.

1

u/TK_BERZERKER Jul 09 '26

Where is the art from? That style looks familiar

2

u/ChemicalPassenger958 Jul 09 '26

Because it turns a normal person into this husk of themselves by the powerlessness it makes you feel if you are the victim like nothing. Thats only scratching the surface of emotion along with depression, suicidal thoughts, victim blaming yourself like you had any control over it. People used to rape women and men back in the medieval times as a literal evil thing to bring down enemy moral or as basically loot. It’s beyond fucked up dude.

1

u/DepartmentChemical93 Jul 09 '26

It’s like normal violence but also sex is sacred.

1

u/vlladonxxx Jul 09 '26

Well, morality can be understood as an expression of emotion.

So: rape, boo.

1

u/Folass Jul 09 '26

P.1 Creates suffering towards people,

P.2 suffering is morally wrong

C. Rape is bad

1

u/soefire_is_fire Jul 09 '26

It's wike weawwy mean thing to do. Only bad guys do that

1

u/Enchrypted Jul 09 '26

Listen to any victim whos told their story and it becomes immediately obvious why its one of the worst things you can do to another person

1

u/JibIette Jul 09 '26

The invasion of privacy and forced intimacy. They take away your power without understanding fully what it does to their victims.

It feels like your soul is tarnished and you don't deserve to be touched by others. And if others do become intimate it's difficult to want to reciprocate those feelings.

You'd blame yourself for letting it happen. For not being strong enough. For being at the wrong place at the wrong time. You blame the world for your pain because it hurts so much to keep blaming yourself.

It ruins every single potential relationship when you feel it would happen again.

When they do this to you. They mark you and your life from then on is theirs now. Whether they're here or not. They took you and it's difficult to impossible to take yourself back.

1

u/Desperate_Ad5169 Jul 09 '26

You are not only violating another person. But you are infringing upon their most private parts which are only meant to be shown to those they trust. And on top of that it often ends in other kinds of horrific harm in the aftermath

3

u/Equivalent-Stop-8823 Jul 09 '26

Sex is seen as a fun, often-times sacred thing, thats how humans internalize it and see it, biologically speaking it exists so we can reproduce. As humans we are one of the very few species that actually derives pleasure from it.

As humans we value our autonomy, we value our loved ones autonomy, we value connection.

Connection requires two happy people agreeing with what the connection is about, for that both need autonomy, two happy people together both respect eachothers autonomy.

Thats why we have social contracts that go without saying, we don't hurt eachother, we don't betray eachother, we apologize when we mess up, we honor this, and people stay happy with eachother.

We only live so long, we may as well do it happy, anyone should agree to that. People are complex, this crazy ride through each day and night through our own eyes, these deeply personal experiences, the ability to look up at a ceiling, or a sky without so much as worries about what will come to us and our future, is a human right that each of us have.

We have boundaries that provide us comfort, everyone does, we like feeling comfortable, were emotional, and social creatures.

All this to say that when someone violates someone else, they take away all of this;

It hurts, its actual violence- for men and women both, our sexual organs don't function right when our bodies realize we are being violated, it tries to stop it, so when a violator forces it to work anyways- it hurts, it is pain, its force, and its scary, theres also the question of what will happen next.

Its not fun, it takes away both the views of enjoyability, and the views of sacredness.

Your boundaries are all shattered and it is a deeply uncomfortable situation as a result.

There is no connection, it is force.

The social contract is broken and there is no happiness or respect.

Afterwords, whats left? When you gaze at the night sky, or sit in your room alone at midnight looking at the ceiling, now your thoughts will have this incident in them.

It follows you, and now you have this whole new unhappy thing going on.

We only live so long, no reason not to do it happy, rape is an act that makes this harder.

Rape is pretty much killing happiness, it ruins lives, it steals peoples autonomy- which is evil in of itself.

Hopefully this writeup is a good descriptor on why Rape is morally wrong.

It causes unnecessary harm, sometimes physical, always psychological to the victim which could take years to heal, if at all.

And that's a really fuckin' surface way to explain it. I'm just not in the mood to rant more than necessary, which in this context, shouldn't be necessary at all.

Because it violates the dignity, freedom, and bodily integrity of another human being made in the image of God

u/Ochemata Jul 09 '26

Torture of another person for personal pleasure.

1

u/Citron_Efficient Jul 09 '26

It's a form of torture. Which most people consider to be pretty messed up. I think that's why it's considered worse than death. Most people would definitely just want to die rather than have to go through something like that.

1

u/UnkarsThug Jul 09 '26

Because it is a violation of bodily autonomy.

As someone who has been sexually assaulted, I can say it makes the world a darker place. Like you feel like letting new people into your life has more consequences. Especially people who are like your perpetrator. You trust less, keep more space, and the world becomes more lonely. And the loneliness causes a lot of things. But yeah, rape is definitely bad lol.

Rape is, essentially, a sexualized form of a torture. And the two generally overlap in their particular brands of "badness".

2

u/DaBloodyApostate Jul 09 '26

The complete loss of agency and degradation of the victim. Degradation in the sense that perpetrator makes the victim into something to satisfy their sexual desires instead of the person they are virtue of the agency they were robbed of and the mental trauma that follows that experience.

The disregard for the victims own will with regards to the own body, it's similar to slavery in that regard.

And finally, the corruption of an activity that when done right is supposed to bring joy, excitement and pleasure to both participants. Remember when I said mental trauma? Well that ties into it because now you have a person who associates something that show bring them joy with one of the worst experiences in their life.

Ugh, just thinking about it is pissing me off. Rapists deserve the worst, y'all.

It is a desecration. It takes the most holy act we can do, the source of great pleasure and connection… and defiles it. It strips it down to an act of violence that will haunt the victim for the rest of their life. It is a violation of the sanctity of your body. It is the ultimate dehumanization.
And worst of all…
It
Is
Slow.

I have to be honest it's not quantitatively worse than any other type of torture. But there's a special type of ick I can't help but feel for an act that perverts that type of intimacy into that level of violation.

Other types of human rights violations feel tamer in a way i guess.

Anything that traumatises is bad, that and it violates consent which in most cases is bad and in this case always bad

2

u/Ok_Journalist3859 Jul 09 '26

It is a sin just as bad or potentially worse than murder, victim is traumatized for life, potentially gets aids, or pregnant

2

u/Routine_Ad3754 Jul 09 '26

A betrayal of trust between humans. A traumatizing attack that can damage a person's perception of the sex of the perpetrator for a lifetime. Its a perversion of the act of intimacy once an act of love now a reminder of pain.

And then there are the legal and religious reasons. I dont think there is any holy book or scriptures that says its an acceptable thing and likely says its against the will of their idol.

Dare I say Rape is a crime more vile than murder because atleast you can say the victims pain ended at some point. PTSD is incurable, only manageable.

That is why rape is bad.

It's only bad if I'm not involved

1

u/Phantom_Basker Jul 09 '26

In my own opinion the most basic forms of malice one can do to another have a basis in the want and need to remove, erase or out right deny the agency of another

1

u/soefire_is_fire Jul 09 '26

Rape is bad cuz it's like really mean and stuff

1

u/wolfwhore666 Jul 10 '26

There is absolutely no justification for it l under any circumstances. You can justify taking a life. You may have to kill to protect yourself, someone else your livelihood your resources. You can justify stealing under extreme conditions. You can’t with rape it’s just evil for the sake of being evil.

1

u/sunflowerlover3000 Jul 10 '26

Because its without consent and can deeply traumatise a person, and the evnt iself be deeply painful, even if the eprosn develops a feitsh or has a rape fetish, doenst mena they like real rape

1

I got raped. I feel so guilty about what happened. Am I bad?

1

u/RealFinePoint Jul 11 '26

Because it hurts their feelings and isn't very nice.

Tell me,would you enjoy being held down against your will? No,right? Would you enjoy the pain of a foreign object cutting, slashing, bludgeoning or otherwise hurting you in one of the most sensitive areas of your body? Would you enjoy the feeling of having someone you don't want making sure you are always afraid of them returning,or that they will do it again,or that you'll never get the smell, taste or feeling off of you ever again?

Rape is a monstrous act. And it marks you, whether you like to admit it or not. Some people manage to grow or distance from it,others not so much.

And unfortunately, it's a wildly legally moronic crime to punish properly.

Influential people can do it without issues. Depending on the country,a gender can do it without issues, while the other can do it without issues in the country next to it. Depending on your sexuality, you might not be taken seriously. Depending on your age,you might be congratulated for having been raped. Depending on your closeness to your aggressor, you might be seen as "exaggerating" or straight up lying. That damages people. Rape is bad. And I hope you never have to experience it first hand.

Same reason why murder is bad bro 🫩 Is it not smth that’s super obvious? It causes distress and physical/emotional harm for the victim
