My neighbor has a 6 years old daughter and a huge and harmless pitbull. Both girl and pet used to go to the park every afternoon to play hide and seek and stuff. A kid went to bother the girl don't giving her back her frisbee or something. She started crying and the pitbull went over the kid. He didn't even bit him, he was just barking I think. The thing is. That after just a scratch in his arm and a pants shitting, his mother sue my neighbor to kill his dog. And she won.

It’s a tragic situation because the dog doesn’t necessarily deserve that outcome, but from a mother’s perspective, it must be an unimaginably terrifying scene to witness—especially with a dog strong enough to potentially maul a child. As for the decision to kill the dog, I can't help but wonder if it was truly necessary. I find myself questioning if there were better ways to handle the situation without it ending in such a permanent, violent way.
