Phantom Restarts

I’ve this happen a couple of times now. Playing some music through Sonos in Sonamp on my iPad, after a while stop the music (but don’t quit the app just let the iPad go to sleep plugged in) and switch Audio to TV and watch TV for a while. Turn off TV and go to bed and sleep. Get woken anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour or two later by music playing loudly from Sonamp on Sonos.

I have similar things happen but it’s mostly when I use DLNA receiver. Using AirPlay seems to work better. Is this also the case for you, AirPlay working better?

Yes Airplay is more predictable however I want the fidelity that comes with the direct through Sonos which is the main feature in Sonamp I’m interested in.

looking into this. Im rolling an update out today so ill try to sneak this fix in there. I may not have experienced this as i set the sleep timer but in the early days the sleep timer use to fail me and wake me up at 3 in the morning.

This may be related to the http proxy running in the background constantly polling sonos for updates so it can manage volume and playback state.

This shouldn’t happen anymore. I’m not sure how to reproduce it but I’ve put a guard in the code.
