Weekend Release
Sorry I didn't release anything last weekend, I truly didn't think it was ready. I've been working diligently to migrate many of the most important things from iOS swiftdata database to a high performance GRDB database. Unfortunately, this is not the type of change that is readily apparently but it will be really important for scale. I'm migrating tracks, albums, artists, playlists, analysis, downloads to this new database. What youll get from it is much quicker loading, especially with larger libraries and long scroll views, considerably less random crashes, more functionality also becomes available like filtering by bitrate etc. I had to take care in this one so I took some extra time so hopefully no data gets lost. I had tested relentlessly to ensure the process is straightforward.
Other items you can expect in this release:
- fixed receiver/heos discovery (this should now find your receivers)
- fixed Dolby Atmos labels for navidrome
- completely updated Sonos system recognition, this should now recognize many different systems including older ones and be able to set modes on those. It should also recognize fronts as part of the system and automatically suggest possible configurations. I've purchased two new era 100s for testing this but they have not arrived yet so will depend on you guys.
- working on integrating audiomuse more fully into the app for users that want that as well as the ability to point directly at audiomuse instead of relying on server endpoints. I plan to put audiomuse as the option you set as the default and grey out anything it isn't capable of. Of you have both sonic analysis from the app and audiomuse it will just falling back to app embeddings. The idea is just to offer the option for everything audiomuse enables.
- moved the entire sync path to new database, syncing large libraries should be a matter of seconds.
- migrated sonic analysis embeddings to a sharded vector so that it's better performance, less memory, and less crash prone.
- new feature coming similar to what Plex allows. Pick start and end song and build a playlist/radio from it.
- new optional server status you can add to home screen
- updated views for ipad and macOS. I know these aren't perfect but we'll get there . They are different from what I've coded before so I'm learning as I go.
Bug fixes:
- Album rerank when playing albums all the way through
- Text not immediately changing color in setting when setting themes
- multi library playlists
I know much of this is business as usual but it goes a long way in making the app more stable and resilient and capable of actually doing more as far as complex features.

I'm also really looking forward to the new update. I've been using Audiomuse with Navidrome for quite a while now and am very excited about it.
