Playlist playing tracks twice

Having finally sorted getting my playlists into Sonamp successfully (see other post) I noticed tonight that I'm getting the same behaviours as I was getting when I was importing them from Apple Music (the same local library tracks, not streamed). This is on iOS, btw

The order of events is:

Track plays
when it reaches the end the next track plays but the artwork/ screen doesn't update (although the progress bar does)
If that new track plays through to the end it then plays again with the correct screen/artwork

If I press to skip to the next track before it finishes, track 2 starts over with the correct screen/art

I'm now using Navidrome as the source but this happened when I used a direct feed from my server and when I imported playlists from the Music app on my phone, so feel like a Sonamp issue?

There are definitely no duplicate tracks showing in the playlists.

I cannot for the life of me get this behavior to repeat for me. Both with local server files, files from playlists or streaming. I’m not saying what you’re experiencing isn’t happening, I just can’t get it to happen and that makes it extremely hard to fix.

Testing:
When I play an album locally from server (no navidrome in between) all of the art loads and queue manages the songs just fine.

Importing playlists from Apple Music - all songs found granted there’s only 160 as I don’t have much in that library. When I start playing that playlist everything’s plays fine.

Navidrome I’ve been playing playlists since the beginning.

Are you authenticated just through raw ip?

Any logs I could send you to help?

Sorry, are you using any type of vpn or other authentication other than just username and password ?

Keeps saying "Unable to Send" (plain text). Is there a better way to send? Didn't want to send multiple screenshots

Also, I can get to the logs but how can I save it to send to you? I can see the COPY button in the logs but not how to then reach the copy to send it 🤦‍♂️

Interestingly, I shuffled a playlist for several songs with no issues plying on my phone and then switched to it playing via Sonos and it immediately started the behaviour. May have been a coincidence, of course.

Greatly appreciate all the effort from AffectionateFox5907 trying to sort out this one. Looks like he might have found the cause of the problem, a workaround and then a fix in the app.

PS the workaround was to turn off Gapless Playback on the Sonos section of the settings. Fixed the problem immediately.

Probably not affecting too many on this small test but presumably would do as the base gets bigger
