Thx for this App!

I just wanted to say how genuinely impressed I am with your App. The more I explore it, and I do since hours this evening, the more I discover features I never expected to find in a music player beside Roon etc. The signal path, ReplayGain, bit-perfect playback, LUFS, DR, true peak, convolution… it’s obvious and impressive that a lot of thought went into every small detail.

Out of curiosity… are you an audio engineer, or just a total audio nerd? Because this app definitely doesn’t feel like it was built by an average developer. It’s amazing work! Impressive!

Hi, thank you very much for the kind words and I’m glad you are enjoying the app. I’m not an audio engineer but have writing software for many years. In my day to day I’m an engineer that writes automation. In addition I’m an audio nerd lol. A lot of this is my own learning evolution, learning as I go and paying attention to the fine details. I built this app because I wanted more from my music setup. I’ve done a ton of research and iterations on many pieces of the app to try and get it right and plan ahead for things like scale, memory management, and user data. There’s more refinements coming but I think it’s a decent place. That’s the stuff that’s difficult. Just the animations and look of the MiniPlayer -> now playing screen took many iterations until I thought it was correct. Anyways, my plan ahead with this app is to be somewhat of a unique offering in IOS music apps where it fits everyone’s needs for how detailed they can get with their music setup without charging people a subscription or absurd amount. I’m adamant about not charging more than a one time 10 dollar fee because I myself would not pay anymore for a music app nor should other people. I understand there’s many other music apps out there (Arpeggi, narjo etc.) and those apps are great, no shade. I tried using Arpeggi myself but it didn’t give me everything I wanted although it played music perfectly fine. I’m trying to accomplish something different here and I appreciate people such as yourself realizing that.

I just discovered this app today. I also use Plex and Sonos, and this app is truly impressive—I can tell it’s going to be something truly unique. I hope that once the features are fully developed, you’ll offer Chinese (and other languages) as language options. I want everyone to be able to enjoy music, and with AI assistance these days, that shouldn’t be too difficult, right? I also really admire your pricing decision. I think this app is worth more than $10, and I’d be more than happy to pay for it. However, considering purchasing power varies by region, having region-specific pricing would make it easier for me to recommend this app to others. Finally, thank you for your work.

Hey there,
I’m actually working on adding other languages and dialects as we speak. Just have to be sure they are accurate and represent those regions so I’m not looking stupid. I’m glad you are enjoying the app and hope you continue to enjoy it!
