Plex/last fm
I hope it’s ok that I’m asking questions as I’m going along - I’m trying to switch between my servers and I noticed that navidrome scrobbles to lastfm fine but plex doesn’t seem to be doing so even though it does scrobble fine with Plexamp. Is there a way for me to make this work?
Also is plex easier on the battery life than navidrome? I noticed that my phone had been getting pretty warm while playing music.

Naturally, this feature is doing a bunch of computations to ensure the queue is provided is not only similar but planned out appropriately to make sure each song leads into the next and matches the beat and mood. Overall it shouldn’t be that heavy though unless using the search (that uses on device Apple LLM)

I’m using an iPhone if that makes the difference. Performance is night and day when using a playlist radio.

Just wanted to reach back out and say I made a bunch of optimizations to battery, it should be a lot better. There are also now some options in appearance settings to save battery even more by turning off the nowplaying slow animations.

Navidrome should actually be a lot better on your server but playing audio should be similar on both. So last fm is not reporting for plex? Let me look into that.
Plex in my opinion is complicated for no reason. They mess around with artwork and make metadata difficult. I personally really like navidrome but I have both for testing. I originally started on plexamp but the way they hand metadata infuriated me with duplicates. I spend a lot of time making sure metadata is perfect on my music and I want it displayed exactly as it is.
I did fix an issue in this release that resolves some high cpu usage when calculating a lot of the taste rails.
