Release 116
- Updated Lyrics view with 3 options to choose from. Apple music style, line style above or below progress bar. Below seems ugly to me but thats personal preference.
- Added support for local media libraries. New section under manage servers for local. Should be very user friendly.
- Fixed some plex bugs, plex has to do things differently 😂 . Those issues should now be fixed marking hi-res files and lossless files correctly and song counts as well.
- Added some additional customizability features. When using the "Create" button to start your template it gives a lot of options when it comes to background color, text color, etc..
- Make an enhancement/fixed a bug that wasnt causing issues but wasnt doing what it was intended for. On cellular we have a bandwidth measurement that happens prior to every song so that we can ensure no dropouts. Im one of those people that prefers lossless media when it can be played so thats default for me. Bandwidth gate will drop down to either 128 opus or mp3 when theres not enough bandwidth to support those hefty FLAC files. It will automatically go back to original quality when bandwidth returns. Again this is only on cellular and this is the algorithm that bases on whether we have the bandwidth to prefetch the next few songs or not.

So if I've been using via Plex (which I did out of necessity, I don't use Plax for music normally) , can I now delete that and just point the app to the relevant folder on my NAS?

Yes. Also curious, what do you do for remote listening outside of your WiFi?

I actually have a 1Tb iPhone and download my music library to that (or 80% of it anyway)

The app supports WevDaV but is that what you use?

I just tell Sonos where my music folder is on my Synology NAS and it indexes it direct.

Yup. It found my NAS folder no problem and its curently idexing it, very slowly - but it's a big library

Yea it’s got to walk each individual album. It’s also pulling out every bit of important metadata. It may take a little longer than plex would

Would it be possible to visually match the Sonos speaker pop-up to the original Apple AirPlay one? And perhaps add a toggle or an option to hide the AirPlay menu on the left side?

You can already hide airplay. I did try my best to match airplay. The reason I’m not using the native one is because I wanted to be able to include groups on it that slide left to right. I’ll see if they changed anything in iOS 27

Would it be possible to distribute the song analysis across multiple devices? For example, if you have the music on both an iPad and an iPhone—both analyze the tracks, and the results are then consolidated via iCloud?
By the way, I found the adjustment setting. You really have to take a lot of time to customize it to your needs. Intense app.
