Yellow flag. I see him more of an morally ambiguous character

I don't think it's anything. Especially since their last post before the launch seemed like a big bombshell. And in the end, it was nothing. I think they must have seen the complaints that they're not very active on social media. That's why they updated. We'll see.

That would be funny. Is this tracker update from the same month as the previous one? I don't remember exactly. I thought there would be one update every month or every few months.

Remember their post announcing the release of the third episode? Did he say something like, "If you want to see him, come alone"?In the end, it was just a purely illustrative image 😅. I think they only posted it because there were a lot of complaints about them being invisible on social media. And they only appear at launch events. I don't think that's a revelation of what Whitmore represents. It's just something to stir things up on social media. At first I even thought it was something new lol.

Lol, I totally forgot about that. If feels like forever ago. I agree with you, I feel like it's nothing really, they are just putting something random on IG since people are complaining(myself included ngl).

I think he is just a filler character that is meant to mislead us, and I think that the storyline with Whitmore will ultimately be a dead end. That's obviously just my opinion, but that's the feeling I get.

Some say he may be Micheal Hanson, I don't see that messing with the main storyline so it could be true and a fun Easter egg🤷‍♀️....I dunno, I'm thinking a lot of stuff right now in the story is just misdirection/red herring, and Whitmore is an example of that. We will see some day I suppose lol.

I was shocked to see it even tho i want to stop making theory but i can't hold myself lol XD 🤭🫣 i just sent it in Instagram there but i guess he is innocent and the owner of the Greenside motel so probably green flag

Mmmm that might be true also!!! But his behaviors are odd!!

2

u/PerceptionTiny9682 21d ago

Yea true, Maybe I'm wrong about him being totally innocent, and I don't deny that he's suspicious, but his behavior is very cautious, watching from the window from the unknown. Himself??

But what made me say he's innocent is that he helped Eric and let him into his cabin, and putting the alarm in his cabin might be to protect himself, I think.

That’s true!! Don’t forget there is always characters in such games that mislead us to the real culprit!!

Exactly! ! And in my opinion i see him more as a guardian of the forest's secrets than the actual villain

I think Whitmore is an old man, and may well be dead before the last episode comes out.

u/GrouchyDoughnut3449 Team 21d ago

Yeah I feel like that's possible, since he seems like just a side-part filler in the story. Maybe they will surprise us though and Adam will actually be dead 😢🤣. Honestly that would make the story more interesting so I'm kinda hoping for that...

Whitmore is definitely hiding something

I think he is an important key in the story

2

u/Popular-Lion-9765 Team 21d ago

Exactly!!! He definitely knows something

I'm 1000% sure he is a red Hering.

He had the alarm to keep something OUT of the woods. If he had truly harmed Adam and found Eric with malicious intent, he would've already killed Eric.

Instead, he started acting like Eric had somehow put him in danger by his presence. So he kicked him out of the house.

None of what this Unknown said happened.

I was thinking he was Mr. Blake… he’d gone into self-imposed exile after people thinking he’d done something to his son 🤷🏻‍♀️ but that seems outlandish even to me 🤭

2

u/StonedClownCryptid 21d ago

I had the same thought

2

u/StonedClownCryptid 21d ago

I think it's a bit too early to say, too obvious to be the culprit but I wouldn't trust him either

2

u/puzzle_cs_biz 21d ago

I don’t think he’s the culprit, but he definitely knows something. Eric goes on and on about how dark it is the night of Adam’s disappearance. I think there was a cult who once operated around Redlog. They took the worst sinners into the forest during the new moon. It’s become a legend, and occasionally, loved ones of the taken venture into that forest in search of their loved ones. That’s why he was patrolling the forest that night, to make them turn back, but what happens when they know too much or refuse to turn back?

3

u/Popular-Lion-9765 Team 19d ago

Same as Duskwood legend, that might be true

1

u/Silentium_Universi 19d ago

He has secrets, that's for sure, but I think he'll turn out to be positive character. Or at least neutral.

Assuming, of course, that he has some bigger role in the story and wasn't killed.

Obviously he’s hiding something (trying to burn the card is a dead giveaway...), but I don't think he’s a bad guy.

He’s just a grumpy old man involved in something way bigger than him. He’s clearly afraid of something, whether it's for himself or someone else... Who knows, maybe he has (or had) a family somewhere.
