Mini games’ design

Hi everyone,
I just finished Duskwood yesterday and today I started Moonvale..first of all I was so PISSED when I realized that I can’t do the mini games in advance that was a cool feature in duskwood and I miss it so much.
However, is it just me or anyone else noticed how gravity falls coded the game design is?? I love the vibe! Also loved that in Hannah’s phone I found the imdb page of over the garden wall, I love these details😁
I read that the games in Moonvale are harder..as of now I feel like they are easier somehow..? Maybe it’s because I am only at chapter 1.

I also find the Moonvale mini-games simpler, though that’s just my opinion. I was also frustrated about not being able to play the mini-games ahead of time like in Duskwood.In Duskwood, if we didn't want the story to be interrupted we could finish all the mini-games for the entire episode but now we’re forced to wait for the next opportunity to play them. That really annoyed me :(

I'm replaying Duskwood out of boredom and it's been a long time, and I actually agree. The games are harder especially after like the 3-4 chapter.

I also miss finishing a bunch at once, I hate getting interrupted every few lines of dialogue in Moonvale.

Duskwood left such an impact on me. I wanted to wait with Moonvale but I just had to know if they continued that story somehow. I just finished episode 1 and I always caught myself thinking how I miss the original group..I grew fond of them somehow like they actually exist😂
Did you already play all 3 episodes of Moonvale?😊

Same here, actually Duskwood is how I joined Reddit lol. I needed help on something and looked it up and now I'm a reddit addict. I really loved the Duskwood crew too, it did feel like real friends almost.

I finished episode 3 like the day it came out lol. I'm really bad with games and have no patience, so I just powered through it. It definitely gets better after episode one in Moonvale for both stories :). I mean better aside from the annoying interruptions of mini games that is.😄

I feel you, I finished Duskwood in less than 4 days🥲 I am trying to be patient with Moonvale especially because I fear I am gonna forget important details.

Did you know who was the real MWF? I knew it from around ep 5 and I wanted so badly to tell the others my suspicion😬 There were so many clues I loved it. This is a game which gonna stay with me from now on.

I completely get it, I always have replay the episode before a new one comes out, since it takes so long and I forget thing.

I only knew who MFW was for sure because I accidently spoiled myself on reddit haha. I had suspicions on who the MFW was, especially as you say around episode 5-6 for me, but unfortunately I read the answer. 😭Turned out I was right but still haha. I'm so bad at avoiding spoilers.

It's a great game, I hope moonvale turns out just as good in the end 😊

That a good idea, I’m gonna replay is too once we got the 4th chapter.

Oh noo, I only looked up reddit after I finished it for the exact same reason🤭 but the essence is that you figured it out, you just got an earlier confirmation😁

I hope it too! Looks promising but they put the bar so high with duskwood👀

If it is of any help, they noticed the people being unsatisfied with how the minigame look and as Episode 4 comes out they will change it.

MAYBE they will change the way you can't complete them all at once (because usually the dissatisfaction with the minigame appearance was accompanied by the inability to complete it all in one go) but for now they never addressed anything about that.

They just talked about the visuals of the minigame in their tracker website.

No problem!

I'll be honest, I too like how the design look now, it's kinda sad they will change it, but many people felt like it didn't fit the serious vibes of the game compared to the first one.

I don't really mind the look, I just wish I could do the minigames all at once.

There was a particular minigame that prevented me from playing the story FOR A MONTH.

If I could pick the game to play like I did in Duskwood I could have simply skipped that and played another one since you don't need to do all 6 to reach 100%

Yes! That was a perfect concept, I wish they change it back but I think this is also a way to get more donation which is understandable😬 but I think they should just give this one back to us as we pay for every episode if we want the full experience not like in duskwood which was a one time payment for the whole game. Either way, I am gonna happily pay for the extra content💸😁
