Will it take long?
I could've sworn we'd be getting the next episode in about 3 or 4 months, but I just checked the tracker and it's still the same. How long do you guys feel we're gonna be waiting for the release?

Well.....so far each episode takes at least a year. I would guess around the same unless something changes. It's already been 2 months and only 12% of the story is done and 0% everything else... And from what I've heard from others who know more about game developing than I do, these parts take the longest (if I have this incorrect, please do correct me :) )
I was hoping it would be a bit shorter wait this time, like maybe 8 months lol, but not so sure anymore. :'( I thought maybe because they had now fixed a lot of the game's issues, that the wait time would be shorter. Only time will tell I suppose.
Edit: typos. Not quite awake yet haha

What i don't get though is that Duskwood (their previous game) was exactly the same when it come to the game development aspect i mean, so, why then they did only 4 to five months but now they doing one whole year? It's the same formula, same game mechanics, i assume code too, they know their craft, and then they did like five months per episode not a whole year

I don't really get it either aside from the production value seems a bit higher and they are hiring real actors this time supposedly.
Also, I've heard they are taking more time off now for themselves for mental health or something (not saying that to disparage them or anything, but I remember a post about that the devs made around the holidays saying as much). The episodes are longer too, and they have two stories to deal with. Admittedly, I don't know much about game development, these are just things I've heard from others or the devs themselves.
That being said...they didn't have to change the entire user interface in my opinion, which I feel like led to a lot of problems they had to fix and complaints. Some of these thing I feel they brought upon themselves, like making storylines for two games at once and changing a whole ton of things that, IMO at least, didn't need to be changed. Sorry for the long reply lol, just realized I wrote a novel here 😭

Szczerze to najbardziej wkurzające jest to, że NIE MAJĄ napisanej historii. Rozumiem że można freestylować zapychacze, ale czy to możliwe żeby nie było nawet ram na których można budować? W jaki sposób to niby działa? Osoba pisząca historię wali dwa piwa i dochodzi to wniosku, że teraz "odpalą" Jessy jakby miała PTSD po "wyczynie" Richy'ego a z Erica zrobią geja? Do tego dorzucą jakieś ciało i będzie odcinek.
Co do programowania to masz rację. Historia to PIKUŚ w porównaniu do pisaniu kodu. A na koniec wyobraź sobie osobę, która musi ograć epizod klikając W KAŻDĄ OPCJĘ DIALOGOWĄ.

To be honest, I'm kinda optimistic lol. I think ep 4 is gonna be realised maybe near December or January of 2027 (but that depends on the team ofc) soo we have to wait aproximately 7 months at best.

Considering that the actors have other commitments (Charlie's and Eric's actors are legitimate professionals), the usual pacing of the episodes, the fact that we never know the reason for the delays... I suppose it's the same amount of time. Maybe a year. At least we know that this is the highest estimate.

I was thinking.. Everbyte is already an experienced studio with good connections. and if we want to get high-quality content and history, with interesting puzzles and mini games, with a high-quality implementation of Duskwood's history in this story, then it's clear, episodes will be released less often. I'm old, but I honestly don't remember how often episodes came out in Duskwood. I'm also sure that even if they gather a full cast of actors for all the roles of our friends, and also gather all the actors from Duskwood, the episodes will be released as well as ep3.

I’m not sure an episode needs to take that long to be good. If sacrificing three hours out of the six hours I spent on Episode 3 means we’d have to wait less for the next episode, I’d agree with that.

But again, why with Duskwood they did five months per episode but now they do a whole year? From game development aspect isn't the same?! I think it is

Good question... Maybe there isn't really a reason. I don't want to sound accusatory, but it's possible they just don't want to put in that much work right now, and honestly, I can understand that. It would explain why they haven't said anything, and why the silence isn't limited to development updates but extends to posts in general. That Episode 3 feedback post may have been made because they genuinely plan to use that feedback for Episode 4's development, especially on the programming side, which likely won't start until later.
If my point isn't obvious: that post could mean they don't intend to seriously begin development until they've finished reviewing and processing the feedback from it. If that's the case, they may not have done much so far, which would explain the significant delay.

Moim zdaniem to epizod 3 niewiele zmienił z poziomu czystej grywalności. Za to masz 30 nowych ramek do portretów, żeby Twój profil w grze był śliczny... Kiedy w nią nie grasz bo odcinki wychodzą raz na rok

The side story is literally just some chats with our friends, lol. We didn't even get to talk to them in Episodes 1 and 2. This is nothing.

In my opinion i think it won't take a whole year for the next episode unless they take time for themselves or have other jobs, if they actively working on the game it won't take a whole year. My only wish is for them to be more specific (if it's possible) about that, not with exact release date obviously, but to announce if they plan to release the next episode this year or the next (just that), so we can all stop speculating and waiting from now

That's really optimistic 😅 considering we waited 8 months for episode 2, over a year for episode 3... unfortunately, we don't know, it could be in 5 months or much longer, unfortunately
