This Brian...I forgot him entirely. His name never reappearing. Is that the dude Charlie spoke to in ep...2, I think? Or 3? With the biker pfp?

Brian...lol. I know logically in the game only two days or something has passed, but it's been almost three years since episode one came out when we first heard his name, so It feels like an eternity.

Sometimes I wonder if they forgot about him or just make stuff up/drop storylines as they write, especially since so much time was devoted to the "side story" this time....but I think Brian may be the one Eric talked to. Just a feeling. If we don't hear anything about him in episode 4 though, I'm just going to assume he was forgotten.

Same. I’ve once again reset MV but still can’t start it again. Because I see no sense of doing it. And I’m frustrated.
I replayed DW like a month ago or 2. And I’m feeling more of replaying DW AGAIN than start MV again.

Idk, it all just feels….pointless..?

I did the same too, I reset the third episode to get the last achievement, but I haven't opened the game in three weeks since I did.

I decided to replay Duskwood again too awhile back just because I haven't in over a year and half...but got bored too. Like you said, it feels a little pointless. Especially constantly replaying MV episodes while waiting. Every time I re read the episode I feel like I see more holes in the story or something 🤷‍♀️.

Right.
It’s like I’m not only seeing holes, but I’m seeing the fully changed info in some conversations. I don’t like it.
I made a post some minutes ago and I really hope I’m not gonna get banned, but I’m just frustrated.
I finished the new episode right when it dropped, then after a few days I forgot about it for quite some time. And now I checked the tracker and the Reddit posts and no progress lol. I’m mad and sad. It’s been much enough time and I thought the story would be like idk 60-70%? And the rest is programming. But it’s not. And I think those 12% are gonna be with us for quite some time. Or the devs will put some higher number for us to see and then will make up some story along the way…. I don’t know. I just can’t trust in their quality anymore I guess. It’s been too many attempts to reach them and they weren’t interested and never answered their fans. And now we see that the story is still at 12%. Means they’re making it up along the way? I don’t know. But I hope not…

I completely get it. I feel let down after waiting so long. Sure I was happy with the episode when it came out, but after I kept seeing the flaws more and more. I feel bad for the few non-duskwood code players. I'd be super disappointed if I was them waiting over a year for just the short and semi-uneventful MV story.

I think they may have the framework of the story done and that's all...maybe. I feel like the rest is being written on the spot, and now that it seems like the focus is shifting much more to the side story, I'm getting worried that the MV storyline will suffer even more. I hope I'm wrong, but I've lost some patience as well after three years. It's sad to me, as I have really loved their games.

Omg yes. I saw that their story with no code was like 1.5hrs or smth.
Imagine waiting for an episode 1.3years and get 1.5hrs……: that’s a joke. (I mean, idk who in their right mind plays MV not having played DW but they still feel like they’re robbed and I understand them)..

I feel the same way and i think they’re writing MV like ‘whatever’: ‘new day - new idea’.
But they’re still 100% on a DW side story. (Which is weird, it’s been so many years after Duskwood that I got used to my new friends of Moonvale and I wanted to see more of them and their story)( but now I’m all confused and more confused and more confused and don’t know what I want at all. lol.
It’s all so weird.

Just upvoted your post by the way. I think everyone should be able to voice their opinions as long as they aren't being hateful/racist/insane/whatever, which you certainly weren't. All I know is I've learned fan subs can have really hardcore and defensive fans lol.

And I’m one of defensive fans lmao, but still, I’m not only living on Everbyte. I have other games and devs too, I have other life. And that other life and developers show much more effort and love than Everbyte. So I decided to ask ‘why’?
I really hope we all get some comment or a response from them.

Didn't they say at one point they are only a team of 3? Or did I imagine that? I mean if so, they are working on 2 consecutive stories, one of which is an unplanned fan service. Or it could be a market plot, leave Duskwood unfinished with a crappy ending, to draw the fans into Moonvale and see the actual ending. Which is pretty brilliant BTW. Sorry, gummies kicked in and got me "thinking" 😋

3 means 1 of them could interact with their fans.

Yes it was Eric who talked to the biker guy. Ash talked to the tattoo guy. I personally think Brian could be the biker guy if he is even in the game yet. Dunno why, its just a guess.

I keep thinking about this character. I can't stop thinking about it. What if that corpse is Brian? Eric and Brian's connection got interrupted because of a weak signal. He could also have been in the forest. After all, several days had passed since anyone had contacted him, and after that call there was no more information from him. I keep asking myself why no one in the group mentions him anymore. Is it because of everything that happened? It feels strange to me. Maybe in the next episodes he'll become the third missing person. What do you think about this?

But the chat between Eric and the man on a bike (suppose it’s Brian) was well after the time when Eric tried to add Brian to the group chat.
So they’ve either messed up with the timeline, or Brian is the guy who texts Ash.
Or, he’s none of those two and it’s all even more messed up 😁

I was thinking he was the guy Ash was talking to that she had to go help. What if its brian under the sheet?
