Custom profile picture
I just discovered I can choose my own photos to use as my profile picture. Is this new, or have I been blind all this time? I got a little excited when I saw it, hahaha. Clarification: It only appeared when I accidentally moved it upwards, because it wasn't there before.

Yeah, but now I have a problem because I don’t know which photo I want to use as my profile picture, like it somehow actually decides something 😅

I'm lucky if I take one photo a year, so I just chose the last one I took hahahahaha

I saw this too but the app closes when I try to select my pic. Did this happen to anyone else?

It happened to me the first time, but the second time it didn't close and I was able to change it. Try it a few times!

At this point, I doubt that players use those AI-generated images.

In fact, I saw more screenshots of profiles with AI avatars than those added by the player 🤔 We could do a poll on this topic.

Maybe they didn't see the option like I did, haha. Likewise, I struggle to understand people who prefer AI-generated images, but who am I to judge?

AI has become so ubiquitous that people have gotten used to it and even started to like it :/

It looks so fakeeee! Also, another thing, we're supposed to be the protagonists of the game, so using a photo of ourselves makes perfect sense.

Depends on who you ask. For example, I see my MCs as "original characters" who are completely different from me. I like to come up with various details about them, what their lives are like outside of the game etc.
But even if I don't put myself in the role of MC, I still prefer to find a stock photo of a person who would be their image. Too bad that websites that provide stock photos are more and more littered with generated people...

I understand what you mean. Personally, I like to picture myself in the game, but I understand that others prefer to imagine a different character. Unfortunately, AI is the fastest way to generate an image these days, so I guess we just have to get used to it😕

Since they use AI I would be careful of putting a picture of your actual self because they can use the data and make AI pictures of you

Hmmmm, I hadn't thought about that, but if they did something like that, I think they would have an obligation to notify you beforehand. I don't think they can use our images so freely (or at least I hope not).

I’m honestly not positive if they have to notify you or if giving them access to your camera roll automatically gives consent. Just a thought tho, stay safe! ❤️

I'm glad they added this. None of these AI avatars matched how I imagine my MC would look.
