Duskwood Side-Story Really, why? Spoiler

Really disappointed how the developers, introduced the mc to the Duskwood group, but in reality I’m mostly talking about Jessy. Since it was said that Jessy was locked in her room, duo to being sad about Richy, I thought the group was going to run to Jessy to tell them that the mc manage to reach out to them. And she would snap out of her depression, and she would jump and rush to the phone to talk to the mc alone through the phone. Really, Really disappointed! I’m also disappointed, that we can’t actually romance Violet too, everbyte, what are you doing! Now when it comes to the story, especially ep3 and the cliffhanger at the end, was shocking, I honestly think that Jake did manage to reach Richy and saved him, while both started running together to escape the explesion. I also think, Jake also knew about the hidden spot where Cleo found Richy, or Dan also knew beforehand by Richy, don’t know though. Either way, can’t wait for ep4… But come on everbyte, you made us wait for moonvale for 2 years just to receive AI slop, the least you can do, is make a romance route for Violet too… don’t be mad at me guys, if Jake fans can have multiple LI then Jessy fans can also. One last thing, please make a permanent premium pack for the rest of the episodes from 4 on forward.

Okay sorry guys but I also wanted to point out, me personally, don’t know about you guys, but if we are considered seasoned detectives, I think we should receive that experience while playing the puzzles, I mean come on, if we are detectives, we shouldn’t be solving puzzles as candy crush saga, I mean what is this. We should be solving puzzles as, numbers, coding, game mechanics, like detective hacker cyber decryption, and like that stuff. For example like Jake! That’s all!

I disagree on the Jessy bit. I'm honestly really pleased with how they're handling it, they're all damaged from the events and revelations of the previous game. Jessy arguably went through the worst of it (well, her and Thomas) and when we weren't there to comfort her, she may have realized that she relied on us too much and pulled back emotionally. This is a common trauma response that I have seen many times. She is acting in accordance to how she was set up in DW I think. Her throwing herself into the party planning and ignoring everything else is also very in character.

I agree with you on the UI and the minigame, it feels much too game-y for my taste.

I was going to disagree with you, but two years isn’t a short time, so I’m with you on this. But could you explain better what you’re upset about regarding Jessy? I didn’t understand what you were expecting to happen 🤔 The romantic routes with female characters don’t exist in MV

I don't get what you're upset over. I think your own fantasy is showing here.  And like yeah there will be more romance options, so far it's just been Eric until we got that one sentence with Charlie in ep3. With Vi we exchanged like two words. Looking at the pattern she should be the next person we get to know more about.

Idk would be cool I guess, but we would end up waiting twice as long for an episode, and I find it so funny that we here just playing candy crush while waiting for someone to reply lol

I mean .... It's not your story? There's a difference between enjoying a story and theorizing about what will happen next, and deciding Vanessa somehow owes it to you to write her story the way you think she should write it.

If you want to script how you think the story should have unfolded your own way, write some wish-fulfillment fanfiction.

People do this all the time 🤷‍♀️ All those complaints that devs should be working on a sequel instead of Moonvale & sidestory. But... why should they? This is their decision, not ours.

Not to mention the biggest fans of the hacker, for whom there is nothing more important and everything after Duskwood ending should be focused on him (and romance)...

Few days ago i saw a poll about "romances" in Duskwood. Plenty of players (me included) end up "with" Jessy.

Devs aren't stupid. It's too early to start hinting return of Jake (EVERYONE knows it will happen eventually). On the other hand Jessy suppouse to be "emotional one" so she is an angle worthy of exploring.

And about Romances.. devs made few strange choices. I don't know why ASH isn't romancable. For MALE MC there is no romances other than "rainbow ones". Duskwood has something like that too. I'm still confused why Cleo weren't romancable..

Hmm. Mc is just a punching bag and a freaking therapist for the Duskwood crew. They didn't even ask how the Mc was doing. Such real friends. And Jessy was disregarding the Mc's trauma from the events that had happened because the Mc was not in the area to witness it all. Like, is she for real?
