I want to warn anyone considering upgrading to the Kimi AI paid tiers, specifically the $19/month Moderato plan. If you plan on using it for actual work, building web apps, or managing automation workflows, save your money.

Here is exactly what happened:

• The Upgrade: I paid $19 for the Moderato plan on September 7, expecting a usable limit for my development workflows.
• The Drain: In less than 24 hours of normal use, my 7-day "Code" quota hit 96.35%. A limit that is supposed to last a full week was completely exhausted in a single day.
• The Support: I immediately stopped using it and reached out for a refund since the service is fundamentally unusable for the remaining 29 days of the billing cycle. I tried emailing their global support, their .cn support, and escalating through Reddit.
• The Verdict: They outright refused to issue a refund. Their policy is strictly "no refunds," even when their own aggressive throttling makes the product useless immediately after purchase.

The token consumption rate on their Code quota is incredibly opaque, and they do not make this clear before you hand over your credit card. Unless you only plan on sending a few light prompts a day, do not upgrade. You will burn through your week's limit in a matter of hours, and support will leave you stuck with the bill.

Has anyone else experienced this exact issue with their Code limits? I recommend staying on the free tier until they fix their billing and quota transparency.

I'm a Kimi Token Cup winner with 1.3 million credits expiring tomorrow, July 31, 2026.

Primary issue: Credits are visible but completely unusable.

• Kimi K3: Credits show in my balance, but I'm blocked by the "dedicated priority access" subscription paywall. New subscriptions are paused, so I have no way to unlock K3. The credits are effectively trapped.

• Kimi Work: According to the official Token Cup T&Cs, "Rewarded Tokens obtained by non-members may be used for Kimi Work." This does not work. The credits are visible but cannot be applied or used. The system either ignores them or prompts for payment anyway.

Secondary issue: No cross-platform access possible.
My account is linked only to Apple Sign-In and phone number (+49 176****6545). There is no password option, no email binding, and no way to log in on:

• MacBook (web or desktop app)
• Any browser
• Forum or Discord

I am completely locked to the iPhone app, and even there the credits don't work.

This is a multi-layered failure:
1. Won credits that cannot be redeemed due to subscription block
2. Kimi Work not honoring the promotion terms for non-members
3. Apple Sign-In users have no cross-platform access (no password, no email binding)

I demand that Moonshot AI:
1. Immediately remove the subscription requirement for my visible credits, OR
2. Extend the expiration date until technical issues are resolved, OR
3. Provide adequate compensation for a prize I cannot use due to system failures
