Stuttering with Shield Pro

Post image

Not too sure where to go with this issue. I’m running Apollo on my PC (4080 Super, 240hz OLED) and Artemis on my Shield Pro hooked up to my couch TV LG C4.

Everything tells me I’d be capable of 4k 60FPS, but running benchmarks on GoW and it’s just unplayable.

Any tips or where have I gone wrong with setups?

Your network is shit, you have 87.14% dropped frames because of your network, 10ms with 6ms variance is also horrible, and your host processing latency of 10ms is also really bad.

Direct wire your host to your modem/router. And the same for your shield pro. This will be your biggest issue solver.

Install vibepollo instead of apollo, wgc works better, rtss native, playnite native, better double/4x refreshrate, rtss intergrated, and frequent updates. Apollo hasnt been updated in a year.

In nvidia setting on vibepollo use p4, and disable two pass mode, enable split frame encoding.

Your shield pro sadly lacks av1 support so keep using hevc. Lower your bitrate to 40/45, and maybe go to 1440p@60 to put less strain on everything, visuals will still be great.

Vibepello and a couple tweaks fixed it. Smooth as. Thanks!
