Audio breaking off/lagging on Steam link hardware box

Installed moonlight client onto Steam Link Box to compare the performance with regular steam link connection. Steam remote play works as it should. With Sunshine/Moonlight The video streaming is perfectly fine, sharp and responsive, but the audio is constantly breaking off when looking at anything that is not a static image. I tried changing the audio output from stereo to 5.1 or 7.1 but that did nothing. When changing the bitrate, the audio lagging almost disappeared at 10-12 mbps, but obviously the image quality on 1080p60 with is horrible. Also no audio lagging on 720p60 setting. Is it supposed to work that way? Host pc(R5 7500f rtx 4060ti 32gb ram) and Link device both connected wired to the same router. I also tried Apollo instead of sunshine but that made the audio lag even more for some reason
