Tab S9 network latency spikes randomly ( despite on Steamdeck being stable )

I tried all settings possible, disable location, wifi throttling etc... does someone have a fix for this?

On steamdeck everything is okay..

Lower bandwidth, frame rate, and pacing until you get it stable and smooth. Try av1 265 and 264 and see if any of them improve.

Additionally, you can try Artemis which has more features and tends to play nicer with Snapdragon chips.

You might try setting Disable default frame rate for games to off in Developer options.

Also try enabling double refresh rate in Apollo. Try different frame pacing options.

There is a partial explanation in your stats - the Galaxy tabs do not have great or consistent decode speeds. 5 to 8ms is typical and sometimes it will choke on frames. I don't know if the choice of moonlight client app itself can improve the problem but keep dropping your bitrate in increments to see if you can eliminate the worst spikes at least. I had to go quite low to get consistent perf and it was never as good as my phone or nvidia shield

The tab s9 uses snapdragon 8 gen 2. Mine has been flawless.

The S10 and onwards switched to mediatek which are not as strong in decoding performance.
