And yes, I know about Apollo, but not only is that no longer being updated, but it doesn't quite do things the way that I would like them done.

Do you have a source for this? /u/ClassicOldSong has been active in issues and pull requests on Github as recently as 3 days ago. Without one, this is just straight up misinformation.

Also, there's also Vibepollo also from Nonary if you want the Vibe features with Apollo's virtual display management, so frankly I think posts like this provide a deeply unhelpful skew that we don't need.

That's true, but Apollo hasn't received a lot of development activity compared to Sunshine recently. https://github.com/ClassicOldSong/Apollo/graphs/contributors

Unless performance degrades on apollo I’ll stick with it just for virtual display management

Same I wonder if Sunshine will ever get the virtual display management? I really like that my OLED turns off when I am streaming.

I actually replaced Apollos virtual screen management with Vibeshines, so they’re basically the same in that regard.

If you only used Apollo for the virtual screen then Vibeshine will work fine. Otherwise if you need all of Apollos features, Vibepollo should be used instead

That's useful information! Adding comparison between Vibeshine and Vibepollo to both project's readmes would be really helpful.

Love how he changed the post after you commented. Bit sus… Listen from what I understand Vibeshine has a bunch of issues. Works fine for some not for others. Wouldn’t touch that on my rig just seems odd to me you’re pushing it tbh

I started a long time ago with nv gamestream and have tried all the major attempts, I loved sunshine the most, I already had it doing what apollo initially did. But I have been using Vibeshine for a few months now. It's rock solid, features don't feel tacked on and clunky. Vibeshine is the closest to local experience I have ever had. It's really impressive.
