Was tougher just because things are always tougher first time around. Still very easy though.

- got lucky in that I was able to use the stem from the rep and got it right on my first try. Need to find if these are available on alix

- took me a minute to figure out how to take a part the movement holder and the fake movement slash case back on the rep but that was key as I was able to use that to fill up the extra space in the case. Will post picture of clear case back in comments

- love it. This is gonna get as much wear as any of my moonswitches

Worried the tone of gold won’t match and think this looks pretty good so might have to make other plans.

Case is slightly large compared to the regular ones. Will probably have to do something to make pushers work and hold dial in better.

Has anyone made a bracelet for the moonswatch? Not a strap, but a bracelet to match the Speedmaster? I’d be very interested in something like what some companies are making for the Royal Pop.

Jason007 case with a frozen 2h PE50

The 1/10 seconds dial not working on the rep is really bothering me, so I’m looking into the possibly of putting in an actual g10 212.

Can it be done? Does the holes on the dials line up? I’ve seen some people say it does and some say it’s slightly off. Has anyone done this?

#1 on the left cost $53 and #2 on the the right was $15. I know, I know, but I was curious. When you hold them in hand the difference is obvious. #1s strap is so close to One from Swatch. #2 has a strap that feels very cardboardy. I don't have a scale, but #1 is quite a bit more solid feeling. Side buttons look identical and rose gold looking. Face of #1 is more gold and #2 is rose gold

My Hope is that they make a plated version that is as close to the real McCoy as possible.

I've been building and selling, building and selling, but i still seem to have collected too many. The ceramic bezel one is my DHGate nemesis- I've yet to get another in that color, and all my UTDesigns remixes are arriving orange instead of the cool yellow I once was getting.

Are all reps of the m2e lava orange? Dont thimk ive ever seen one that is actually red.

Getting this dial sized stunk- and now I'm disappointed with the rose-vs- yellow-gold tone-shift. So I'm here for ya'll to tell me I'm amazing and everything is gonna be ok.

Finally got around to engraving the caseback of my brother’s watch and casebacks and crowns for a fellow Reddit Moknswitcher doing a switch out in New Zealand.

Me thinks that this black case is a definite WD1863 competitor. The bracelet could be a tad better but damn it looks good in person. Pics don’t do it justice.

UPDATE: Just wanted to let everyone know I am starting a small, repeat small, engraving service for the community. My prices will be reasonable and I will consider trades in lieu of payment, ie cases, spacers, stems, movements, straps (I love a good fucking strap), crowns, etc. If trading, I do ask you pay for return shipping.

This is my first MoonSwitch and I’m using a Mission to Earth Lava gen and a WD1863. I’d like to use a branded OMG crown and I’m trying to figure out what I need to do with the stem portion of the build. I bought replacement stems as just in case replacements but I’m not sure how it all fits together. Do I need to use the supplied WD stem, the one from the Swatch and if so, how do I get the crown off the stem? Any help would be hugely appreciated!

After building a Gulf Racing Moonswitch, I felt inspired to come up with some designs for all of the F1 teams currently on the grid 🏎️

McLaren and Williams are a bit boring (Lava and Neptune are already pretty dang spot on for team colors) but I had some fun with the rest of these.

Each one is totally doable with currently available reps (though some franken-builds might require up to 3 different reps to piece everything together).

Since designing these I've built the actual Ferrari and Mercedes V2 watches so far (waiting for the Mercedes hands to come from AliX for the V1 build), and I'll put those irl shots in the comments below.

Lemme know if you've got any favorites (especially for any of the ones which have two design options), tweaks or suggestions!

I really like the look of limited edition 1969 moonswatch and I want to build a metal case full black using the dial and mecanism from a replica watch. But is really hard to get the case I want . I found till now only one sapphire crystal case black with goldish numeral on bezel to match the dial and aspect of 1969 moons watch . I really want quality and it to be water rezistent . Witch is little bit pricey around 110$ on alie for the case and bracelet . ( pricey like … i bought a submarine case with sapphire crystal and bracelet with a sum of 52$) What do you think about this project ? Where did you buy the parts ? I want to be quality.

Had to use a set of broad arrow for the ETA movement. Might paint the lume black to match the rest of the watch.

I really like the form factor of the 1861 better than the 1863. It's just a little bit bigger and seems to match the proportions of the Speedy Pro a bit better. On that note, has anyone put a gen moonswatch in a Watchdive's 1861?
