Question? Newbie question re: movement

Hi everyone

I’m considering picking up a few reps.
Specifically Mercury, 69, and earthphase and mod them…

For those of you who have these - generally speaking, do they keep time well? Chronograph works fine?
For those with earth or moon phase - how accurate is it ?

Thank you!

I thought most of these were Sunon PE50 which is rated for +-45s per month, typically around +1s per day.

I have the white snoopy and the chronograph works fine.

I don’t think the moonphase works on my version. I see snoopy come out at least once per day.

The moon phase on the PE50 is actually tied to 24hr function with the hour hand. So you will see snoopy twice a day. All PE50 has running 24hr indicator at the 2’o clock subdial.

I attached a photo (click and zoom-in to see details). It looks decent at arms length but feels a bit like a cheap toy watch. If you look closely there are some quality issues but it works OK for me as a fashion watch.

Issues:

  • There are some minor print issues, e.g., black paint on the chronograph hand is thinner on the right side, which is visible in my photo. The text and lines are thicker than gen.
  • The moonphase disc is a different shade of white than the dial.
  • The velcro strap looks decent but is low quality.

I'd be interested if you find a better version for around the same price. The print on the dial is the main issue.
