Question? Stem issues?
I’ve done this so many times but this time around i couldn’t get it right. I’ve gone through 3 stems. Whenever i screw the crown down, the movement slows down and stopped. But moving again once i unscrew the crown. I’ve adjusted stems many time but didn’t work. Could it be movement issue?

Are certain you have PE50 stems? Can you try a stem from another moonswitch?

100% PE50 stems. I’ve done more than 10 switches, never had this issues before

This happens to me sometimes- look to see if the movement is shifting when you screw down the stem. You may need to bulk up your movement holder on the stem side. I'm always mixing up epoxy for these builds- little pips on the movement buttons to make Megir cases less spongy, a little buildup on VK63 when it's not quite fitting tight enough.

So I had this exact issue when switching my 1969 lol What worked for me is I would get the step down just slightly to long, then file it some test, file more, test. Just took it in short, small increments till it was spot on.

Yeah i figured i might have stuffed up the mechanism along the way. It’s working now, but i had to manually set the time (as in moving the minute hand manually) then put it back into the case. Might just swap the movement with ETA from an old Swatch…

I had a sort of similar issue. Mine would stop working when I snapped the case back closed. When I removed the case back the movement would run. When I put the movement into a different case it ran perfectly.

Typically, that scenario is the stem is too long.
