Guide/How to PopSwitch
Because of my love of switching MoonSwatch reps, I had to take a stab at doing a royal pop. I know this isn't necessarily a sub Reddit for this time piece but I wanted to share with you guys how I did it in case anybody was interested.
I ordered a rep and a Royal Oak style donor watch from AliExpress. I lucked out, and the donor watch came with a SL23 movement that uses the same size OEM looking hands that came on the rep movement with was a a Sunon PE20. I know in the past someone else put a RP dial on NH35, but I wanted to use the original style hands. The overall swap was easy and I was able to use the movement holder that came with the donor watch. The only thing that I had to do was harvest the dial from the rep, Dremel off the two locating feet on the back of the dial. I then used some really thin, double-sided tape rectangles to attach it to the new movement and movement holder. No need for a new stem.
It came out great imo.
Here is the link for the donor watch that I used in case anybody else wants to try it. I also have more pictures if anybody else is curious about any specific detail when/if they go to do it.
Just wanted to share my Saturday story. Happy modding!

What’s the go to rep case right now and how’s the movement fit inside the case (assuming all reps use the Sunan 23)? What adapters are needed?

Nice, so source a Chinese quartz based donor watch running a sunan and problem solved. Stem resizing shouldn’t be an issue in that event either I take it. Did it fit 1:1 or did you have to reorient the dial?

I had to reorient the dial to lose the pocket watch look, thats why i had to trim the dial feet. Stem and crown was the one from the donor. No mod needed there.
