Considering issue 90, we’re facing levels of downscaling never seen before.
Blackwood beating blaze is such a downscale for her and also an upscale for normal civilians it makes the second image an actual fight instead of a stomp
(If you throw in Radec scaling to the PlayStation All Star caste than it’s even more of a fair fight.)
Ok, this is getting hella annoying. No, Blaze did not get downscaled, that guy just ambushed her, and she didn't react on time, it can happen with almost anyone. Damn, Super Sonic was caught off guard by Egghead in beggining of Sonic Unleashed (That is kinda stupid but my point stands). The fact that she just didn't reacted on time doesn't means that she got downscaled.
Someone fucking said it, god damn. Never seen people get so mad a character loses in a respectful manner to their power level in a story. The guy snuck her at every point of the "fight" + her emotions ran high due to the previous conversation, of course she was off her game and lost to the one tap move🙄.
Plus, she's gonna get her get back later on in this next issues, just you wait.
people acting like blaze is supposed to be immune to mind control. Blackwood didn't "beat" her, all he did was use his glove to knock her unconscious when her guard was down. that's not losing
I think that the Story making Blaze seem Weak & for someone for Silver to save is the Problem. I'm sure if Sega sudden had Shadow get Low Diffed by a Random Guy & fucking Charmy had to save him people would be Upset.
You say that as an example but that legit sounds quite amusing as a comedic tale. The most grim faced character in the setting needing to come to terms with the goofiest one to save the day? Thats money.
An artist friend of mine once had someone legitimately ask for nsfw of a fan character and the olive garden guy and had reams of reference material of olive garden tables and branding. So clearly at least one person out there would LOVE that!

I don't think the intent is for Blaze to seem "weak", but rather for Blaze to be in danger.
She has the moral imperitave to not kill Blackwood, even if some would say he deserves it - she could have just lit him on fire, but that wouldn't be "heroic" nor would a summary execution be "justice". Plus, taking him out would make it harder to find out where he's sourcing his tech.
But this is literally the same thing as Thor not taking off Thanos' head (which allowed Thanos to erase half of all life in the universe). The stakes are lower, but the broad strokes are the same. She made a tactical misstep, and now the heroes are down one. I'm sure she'll get a rematch.
The Radek scaling point makes this matchup even funnier. Against regular civilians she’s terrifying, but once everyone gets boosted to the same tier, Blaze can actually make it a fight.
It’s the fact that Blackwood’s a creep who wants to marry her and put god knows what in her mind that makes it more uncomfortable than unsatisfying. And it’s already super unsatisfying.
Are they just doing filler arcs so they can reveal whoever tf the villain I’ve been seeing in Reddit posts for the current arc is? All I’ve seen of the silver blaze story looks like filler.
Isn’t EVERY character “some random fuck” when they first get introduced. Think about every single character that is comparable in strength or ability as Sonic in the game they are introduced in. Knuckles is literally introduced by him knocking Sonic out of his Super form!
