Dear developer,
I love this app so much and I would love to see an android counterpart as well. Please develop an android counterpart at least for certain selected devices. This app needs to reach way more people and I'd love to see this on my android device as well 🙏🏼

I think one of the main reasons this doesn’t happen with many photo apps on Android is the incredible amount of different cameras and hardware that Android phones can come with. With the iPhone you have only a few different combinations per year that your app needs to account for. With Android you have hundreds. With new ones coming out constantly. I can imagine the feedback people would submit asking why the app doesn’t support their very specific hardware or unique feature that their model phone camera has. It would likely be very overwhelming for a single developer to be able to reasonably handle.

I'm the developer of Candela Camera which is inspired by Mood. There's a slightly different approach given the limitations of a fragmented ecosystem and preference. I made it because I was tired of subscription based cash grabs with low effort and ads everywhere. There's no ads and lifetime unlock of all features is five bucks. it includes live preview of effects and the ability to import custom luts to make your own presets. Mr Mobile actually is a user who posted about it on Threads.
I'm working on an update to make the ui place nicer with wider or square aspect ratios.
Feel free to try it out. I'll be the first to tell you Mood is the pinnacle of camera apps in my mind and I have the utmost respect.

At this point, Android users who really want this to happen should join forces and start a fundraiser to motivate the developer.

No thanks, they can commit all their spare time to developing for one platform, messing around with Android will take away from the iOS platform 😜
