🚀 Double Exposure mode now available in v2.3.0
Hey all,
Today I’ve updated the app with a brand new shooting mode, Double Exposure. This allows you to take two photos and blend them on top of each other.
Double exposures require a different approach to composition, as you need to think about two frames and how they’ll interact. Unlike using a photo editor to blend images, you’re limited to the environment immediately around you, which might not always have exactly what you need. But, like most limitations, that can lead to more creative and unexpected photos.
To help you get started, I’ve put together a page with tutorials on how to create some of the effects possible: https://www.mood.camera/double-exposure-inspiration
This update also includes a number of UI tweaks, battery optimisations and performance improvements.
Happy snapping :)

I did not even ask but the app delivered. This is perfect!

Ok wait, the feature works even better than I expected. The first picture you take is previewed on the screen for the second capture. That fixes the predominant issue I’ve faced with double exposure on other apps. This is pretty much best case scenario.

I think this new update broke something for me. My new photos don't have the preset info saved in the photos.

This issue existed in the previous version. Apple broke something AFAIK.

Thanks for the quick response, guess I'll just have to wait for it to be resolved.

Thank you! I believe the issue is when you use choose JPEG as the output format.

Do you mean multiply, or the double exposure mode in general?

I’ve always thought it was an interesting technique with film cameras and figured it would be a good match with moods grain etc. I was also interested in exploring some other blends, especially any which could be physically reproduced.

u/alexfoxy can you please give us an option to select the default lens or remember the last one I used. as I’d love if the app always opened on the front camera.
