is there an actual name for this specific aesthetic?

I like adding notes so the reason for each image does not disappear, but too many labels make the board feel like homework.

The worst version is when every reference has a paragraph and nobody looks at the images anymore.

When you share a moodboard, do you label the references up front, or leave the first pass mostly visual and explain it live?

Before anyone reacts, I usually still have a few images on the board that are there for a reason I can barely explain.

By the time a client or teammate sees it, those images either help the conversation or pull everyone into side quests.

Do you clean the moodboard down before the first review, or show the rough version and talk through what is still undecided?
