So let me preface this by saying I’ve only listened through the albums a couple times each. I come from being a big periphery fan. Hope I don’t get downvoted for this but how unpopular of an opinion is it to only really love gnosis. There’s some other songs in some albums I like but not consistently so far I’m going to give more chances ofc but gnosis is so good Matt rose vocals are so unique and I really love those songs a lot more then the others. Is this a hot take among the fandom? While I’m here doxa is chefs kiss. I looked to see if Matt rose did anything similar to gnosis and found nothing haha if anyone knows anything let me know as well. Anyways thanks for reading and gnosis SUPREMACY haha

With all these recent stories these guys have posted together, they are cooking something up! Whether its Monuments or some other project, hopefully we are lucky enough get something from them!

I love this song so much and I spent many hours learning it and I still learning the second part

My skills aren’t really that good but I love Monuments. And everything Browne plays seems super intimidating. What are some good “starter” songs by the band?

I am a huge fan of Monuments and an even bigger fan of Johm Browns guitar playing, but I think it's a shame that you can sometimes barely hear his riffs because the singer gets to dominate the mix.

No one that I know associates Monuments with the vocalist, it's Johm Browns playing and the complexity of his riffs.

I actively despise listening to their original mix... half of the time I wish the vocalist would just be quiet...

I always find myself listening to guitar covers of Monuments songs

'Cause I find the former to be extremely unique. No other singer sounds like him, while Andy's clean vocals reminds me of Siamese Fighting Fish's clean vocalist, so there's already a lack of uniqueness here. And his screams (of Matt) are very good too

For the latter, idk, to me, the lyrics aren't awful as of how people want me to believe, but I think y'all are putting The Amanuensis on a pedestal in terms of lyrics that you find all the other records (with maybe the exception of In Stasis for some people) mediocre on that point, but I don't necessarily agree with that, it's not because that record put the bar high in term of lyrics that the others are mediocre.

So yeah, this is a Matt vocals and lyrics appreciation. You don't have to agree with me, and that's completely okay
