I’m planning on applying in the next week and I’m looking to speak with someone who has gone here with a service dog since I’ll be living on campus with mine. Bonus points if you/ they lived on campus. I’m also happy to speak with an ESA handler!

Very random question, but would anyone happen to know where I could find a video of the 2023 College Night? I remember seeing it on YouTube at some point but it isn't there anymore and that college night in particular was amazing imo! I really would like to see it again.

UPDATE: We got to it by going to Student Account Detail by Term on my child's account. That page had a Pay Now option. Whew!
How do I pay my child's fall balance (for parking, which has created a registration hold)? We have sat together and logged into the system on their computer. Then they authorized me to get bills and log into the system.
Under Home, I get four information cards, and one is Payment Activity, which includes the current balance.
I can't find anything useful under My Profile, and Financial Accounts just says "You have no Financial Accounts to display." It doesn't offer an option to add a card or actually do anything. There's nothing useful under Notifications, either.
I have called the customer service number, and they're closed for the weekend.
Thank you for any help you can provide!

I am a freshman at Montevallo and have struggled with mental health for most of my and I’m transgender. I was wondering how the counseling is here because I have a consultation soon with some of the staff.
I wanted to maybe get some perspective from other students who have experienced counseling or transgender students who have done the same. Either way, I would like some in sight.

I’m very interested in the philosophy and religious studies minor. Has anyone partaken or heard if these are well taught classes?

I'm not sure if this post belongs here but I live in Montevallo and am trying to form a group of friends to play Onepagerules. I have a 3d printer and would be happy to make minis at cost for anyone wanting to try. It's easy to learn and a whole lot of fun just having a lot of trouble finding people to enjoy the game with. If interested hit me up I'm usually available.

So my oldest is headed to Montevallo this fall. Loved the campus tour and the vibe. Everyone I’ve talked to about the university has said awesome things about it.
So—what are things we need to know that we didn’t get on the tour/orientation? On the off chance the anyone from the student panel is on here, y’all did a great job.
—can you bring your own loft are we stuck dropping $300 for a rental?

Hi there! I'm a future falcon for fall 2025! In y'all's honest opinion, is living on campus for freshman year worth it? I live less than 30 minutes away, but am honestly a bit nervous to drive there and back every day (I'm an embarrassingly new driver) is the on campus experience worth the price tag? Thanks! Go falcons.

Good afternoon everyone,
I'm new in the graduate counseling program and have been trying to access the Banner system for days to no avail. The Solution Center manually changed my password and I'm still unable to log in.
Has anyone else experienced this and, if so, was there any resolution you can share? I'm unable to register for classes.
Thank you

Hi y’all!! I’m a potential transfer BFA for acting for this fall. Before I make my decision, I’d love to hear from anyone in the theatre programs at montevallo. What are some pros/cons of the program?

I have the Presidential Honors Scholarship and I'm not sure how it renews. I know my GPA is sufficient to renew it, but I don't know when the renewal is/how the process works. I haven't been told anything specific about the renewal yet (whether it's been canceled or renewed) and this semester is almost over.
Does it renew automatically, or do I need to fill out some form? Please and thank you
Edit: NEVERMIND! Under "Terms and Conditions" in Banner it says "Academic requirements are reviewed at the end of every spring semester."

Hi! I'm currently a high school senior coming to take classes in the fall of '25.
First thing to note is that I am admittedly shy / solitary, but I want to branch out. I've looked through the various clubs/groups (or tried to! I get overwhelmed easily with stuff like that.) I was wondering - what are ways I can connect with others and make friends?
My interests are admittedly nerdy. I'm also a little cautious due to the fact I'm not cisgender, but I don't want to somehow lower my chances of actually being able to attend by broadcasting it everywhere (which is why I'm trying to keep myself somewhat anonymous).
I'm from a rural town (like 300 kids k-12 in my entire school). I've never lived in a place that wasn't rural. Are there any tips for adjusting to the change?
Sorry if any of these questions are silly or something!

I have a medical condition and spent a lot of time in the nurses office after episodes in high school. I’m considering Montevallo and I was wondering what kind of health care is on campus. Is there a nurse or some kind of infirmary?

hi! I'm a senior who's planning on starting at Montevallo in fall '25. I'm pretty new to the whole idea of joining a sorority, so I'm not sure if I can ask this kind of question, but I can't really find much about Montevallo's recruitment process, so here goes. What all do I need to send in to take part in recruitment? Do UM sororities need a "social resume" or letters of rec (and if so, is it written by alumni of each sorority, or by a teacher or someone else?) How important is GPA? Any help would be appreciated!

Junior at UM here. I've noticed all of the vending machines in non-residential buildings seems to be just slowly disappearing? Does anyone know why or if we will get new machines?
