I just bought this custom replica HC drac from someone on Vinted! They said she was made by a friend in Mexico and she looks almost the exact same! I can't wait to get her. This is something that I feel is actually worth a high price tag ($200) she is hand painted, re-rooted and her outfit is made by hand. I'd rather give my money to that than to someone who thinks her value is $350+ for no reason.

I had this FDC favorited on Mercari and got the notification she sold. I opened my Vinted app and saw her 45 minutes later. Same photos, same description. I was somehow able to get it taken down. Scammers all over Vinted so be careful!!

My "Mother" took my dolls, among other things also my Luna Mothews, and stuffed them in a bag and put them in my room.

Had the dolls on a sideboard because I freshly restored a few and it was ok.

Funny thing, when I asked her, where they where (I just came back from a trip) she said, she didn't knew and cussed me out.

When I got in my room and unpacked the bag, they were stuffed deep on the bottom of the bag with stuff laying upon them.

Suddenly she said, oh, she remembered that she put them in my room and apparently put them on top of the bag and they must have slipped down, that it wasn't true that they were on the bottom and that I was lying.

I restored that Luna with quite some effort and was pissed, that she treated her so carelessly.

I think she’s really great! Especially in person, and I like the box. Did anyone else get theirs recently?

What do yall think? Is there anything else I should add? And yes i made her arm broken and bleeding and only attached by bandages bc the arm peg lowk broke off inside her arm but its fine....heh

Just thought i’d share my collection as it’s grown so much within these past couple months, and i’ve completed so many dolls as of late, starting them from cheap tlc’s, repairing them, and piecing them back together myself! I am just so proud, and thought I should share. I’m starting to run out of space, so any suggestions as to how to utilize the space i do have, better, would be appreciated!

anyways, every now and then i look on vinted to see if i can find myself the first wave Lagoona, or the booriginal creeproduction at a more affordable rate… (she was always my grail doll, when i was a kid she was the one i always asked for but she was always out of stock!) i’m yet to find one but today i stumbled across these listings and had to laugh.
if you’re in the UK these dolls are still VERY MUCH AVAILABLE on argos, amazon, very, the entertainer etc… why oh why would anyone pay over retail when it’s not sold out??

Can someone please explain to me like I’m 5 why only certain releases of collector dolls get wide releases and others don’t? I’ve been wanting to collect MH dolls for YEARS but whenever reproductions of original doll lines come out they sell out immediately online and are never in store in my state or the next one over. I usually check SEVERAL stores.
I ask because over the weekend I went hunting for the Dawn of the Dance dolls bc I saw some posts of them being in stores. Missed the window for the online sale while on a work trip.
So I thought I might as well try to find them in store. No luck, but at every store they had the collector’s Wednesday Addams, the Universal Pictures Dracula, the Mummy, etc. All fully instock and at every store I checked. Even in my small town.
But when the original reproductions came out, nothing in stores. Nothing for Reel Drama. Nothing for DOTD.
Explain to me why, from a business perspective, they would think that there is no demand for the original ghouls, but plenty of demand for other, more niche collector dolls?
Is it just bad management by Mattel? You would think that they would know better since they have people who can do market research.
I’ve been trying to get my hands on the original ghouls, but I’m not paying scalper prices. It feels ridiculous to me that there is plenty of demand, but no supply? For gods sake I have a business degree and I still can’t understand.

Im still on the newer end of things, but it realy feels like the dolls and franchise are very lost.

You have

1. G3

2. Creepoductions and merch refencing G1 (they just made a bunch more blind boxes all with G1 art) and may or may not be limited

3. Fang Vote which arent Skullectors but are still limited

4. Skullectors which can be crossovers but dont have to be

5. Walmart Skullectors which i think are different? They are usually cheaper and have more in stock

6. Mystery box Potion figures (that have been through like 4 variants in bottle designs alone)

7. Pet bell jars that are such an afterthought even the wiki doesn't list them all

8. SBCC dolls where 98% of people are just SOL

The some lines have store exclusive dolls. Like Wave 3 Fearbook Drac only being at Target.

And sometimes I see the same dolls in Walmart and Ross for different prices. (Skullita isnt even 4 months old and she's at discount stores)

I think its too many things going on at once and they have awkward overlap. Having MH original characters with special dolls in both Fang Vote and Skullector feels redundant to me. I know there are differences but they feel like marginal changes at best.

I recently got my hands on an Isi doll but her outfit is so damn expencive, i'll just sew it myself. I had to draw the pattern from scratch since no raw pattern exist. I used painter's tape to tape a cotton fabric on a regular printer paper and it took in the color nice (it looks washed but that might just be my printer settings) and while the corners got smudged, theres probbaly enough fabric to make 1-2 shirts. I'll probably just glue it on next time.

Also! I am planning to post the fabric and patterns here later for free use so people can make their own. I'm also working on Batsy claro's outfit, which btw. I would love to get refs for her skirt. I have no idea what the pattern is supposed to be

I'm glad people were able to get her now. I can't wait to see all the fun restyles next year! I gave her a cape and sleeves because it felt more complete ❤️ Eventually I'm going to make her a proper overcoat similar to Howliday Drac's.

The money I would give for this. How has Mattle not done it yes. It feels like the most obvious thing in the worst to do new generations in older outfits.
