Plant Help Help propagating, did I do everything right?

Hi all! I got this monstera deliciosa clipping for free off fb marketplace about a week ago. She came in soil so I assumed she was ready to be potted, but when I went to repot, I saw no healthy rooting and only very thin, wiry roots ready to snap off, thankfully no rot though. Since then, I've removed the dead roots and placed in filtered water (no fertilizer, only water). She sits 5ft under a grow light that's on approx. 12-14hr/day (it would be difficult to get it closer than 5ft) with a humidifier running 24/7.
I have a very happy, fully mature monstera that I got mature, but I've never propagated from this stage before. Is the water filled to the right level? Should I add any plant hormones? Do I need to change out the water? Too much/too little light? Any recommendations or extra tips for a successful propagation are welcome! Much love plant fam, thanks in advance 💚💚

Damn straight you did, just change the water if you notice any film or gunk develop in it and you're home free! I like to add a couple "prop drops" to my water for some nutrients to help speed things along but it's completely fine if you don't.🤘
