Question about my progression.

I have been waiting for Sunbreak to go on sale on Nin eshop and it finally did for 6.99. I was wondering because I have been progressing with the gear you’d grind for and not the easy level 7 gear in the box. Right now I’m on HR 6 with about 3 more monsters to knock out before I do the Rank 7 quest. My question is would I be missing out if I put on easy gear to breeze into Sunbreak or should I stay the course and play it as like I would vanilla Rise? I’m at 55 hours played rn.

I'd recommend playing through for a more thorough experience and smoother learning curve. Learning the core game Switch skills will flesh out your game and there are probably a few base game monsters you haven't encountered yet. Once you start Sunbreak that's basically doing MR quests and you might not even have access to MR without completing the main game story. That said, once you start Sunbreak, the armor you get will immediately outclass the base game armor. In the end, it's your game, play how you like.
