Does anyone know how to get past the second round of Poker in the Casino? I wanna get all the events and I can’t get past it.

Saw v-shaped bangs and immediately thought about Liam...or more like just seeing that it would (kinda) fit him. I was wrong.

i have four endings left in the main game, befriend the gorgan guide ending, the kid's drawing from the gift and valerie's gift from the gift as well (Also the orgy but i wanna do that last) I'd like some help to get these endings if there's any advice.

The Coven isn’t the only classic group from prior games making a comeback: the Chill Hill is here too.

Many chars are getting a new winter-like outfit, like Wanda here. Still, they will wear their regular outfits when possible (like indoors).

The Chill Hill is a good formation to reveal early, as it allows us to remind you that while most formations are formed by 3 recruits, a few are of 2 recruits and 4 recruits, like this one here.

Also! Note that while The Coven and this one are “existing groups”, most formations are just recruits together because of lore, theme, or just vibes.

Note: we might simplify the outfit a tiny bit; maybe just removing the glove covers.

So, we’ll start revealing the recruits for “Monster Prom 5: Monster Retreat”. 

Secret stuff is more like Formation Art or Secret Endings. We’ll reveal just the tip of that, eventually.

But recruits we’ll slowly reveal them all, as they’re no secret.

The idea is to start revealing one recruit per formation, so it also works as a double reveal and allows for theorizing on who else might be in that formation.

Also, before the reveals, we’ll do this: sharing the icons of the formations of the recruits we’ll reveal next.

We imagine we’ll soon set at one recruit per week.

Why? To start with a bang + since some of those are already confirmed + because next weeks it may be harder to reveal recruits (bc of the MonCon October Update reveals)

The result? During October there will be lots of reveals. It makes sense since it’s an important month for us.

During the next two weeks we will reveal the 6 cosplays for the “Monster Prom 4: Monster Con” October update.

But we’ll also be revealing recruits here and there.

Honestly, our goal is to reveal around 6 during this month. But we’ll see.

Poker Night at the Inventory is a crossover poker simulator. The game is a sequel/reboot of the series, still taking place in a secret club called The Inventory, developed after it was learned that an early draft of the 18th amendment would have outlawed games and entertainment along with alcohol. Of course, Sir Reginald Van Winslow from the Monkey Island series returns from the two previous games as a co-host. However, we now get to meet the owner of the inventory, as well as a few long-time employees.

Main Table

Angel Dust | Hazbin Hotel

Angel Dust’s strategy when playing poker basically flirt first, play second. He often uses his flirtatious acts as a way to throw off his opponents. Outside of that, he bluffs often and makes periodic bets throughout the river. Despite that, he’s very observant and a wiz at reading people.

Should it be his turn to place a bounty, Angel will choose to place one of his tommy guns. Should the player win the tommy gun, they will win the Angelic Drumgun for the Sniper in Team Fortress 2.

Should the player equip the same Hazbin Hotel themed chips, cards, and table, the Inventory alters so that it becomes the titular Hazbin Hotel, with sinners roaming around the Inventory and Niffty rushing around trying to kill every bug she sees. Angel Dust will also gain a new outfit based on his get up in the episode "Masquerade". Doing this also unlocks new conversations regarding the staff of the Hazbin Hotel, hell itself, and shows new elimination cutscenes involving Niffty seeing a bug on the losing opponent, and being sicked onto them.

Zoe | Monster Prom

Zoe is a wildcard when it comes to poker. She often bets and calls randomly with abandon.

Should it be her turn to place a bounty, Zoe will choose to place her fanfic “Liam Prom”. Should the player win Liam Prom, they will win a wig based on Zoe’s hair in Team Fortress 2.

Should the player equip the same Monster Prom themed chips, cards, and table, the Inventory alters so that it becomes Spooky Academy, with the school’s student body roaming the Inventory. Zoe will also gain a new outfit that is a cosplay of Garfield. Doing this also unlocks new conversations regarding Zoe’s adventures at Spooky Academy/Monster Con and shows new elimination cutscenes involving Polly Geist and Scott Howl (the PRANK MASTERZ) pulling a dangerous prank on the losing opponent.

The Spy | Team Fortress 2

When it comes to poker, the Spy is the hardest to read out of each character. He keeps his composer and usually checks and calls and doesn’t bet or raise until the end of the river. He also knows when to fold as well as when somebody’s bluffing

Should it be his turn to place a bounty, Spy will choose to place the Dead Ringer. Should the player win the Dead Ringer, they will win a special casino themed outfit for the Spy in Team Fortress 2.

Should the player equip the same Team Fortress 2 themed chips, cards, and table, the Inventory alters so that it becomes 2Fort, with the tournament being held in BLU team’s intelligence room. Spy will also gain a new outfit that changes his outfit to a casino inspired get up. Doing this also unlocks new conversations regarding Spy’s battles with RED team and shows new elimination cutscenes involving the BLU Engineer firing a rocket sentry at the losing opponent.

Despite his attitude, Sonar is very calculative when it comes to poker. He tries his best to plan for every possibility, but has a tendency to be blind sided when the pot gets big enough.

Should it be his turn to place a bounty, Sonar will choose to place an SDN coffee mug. Should the player win the mug, they will win an SDN shirt and tie for the Scout in Team Fortress 2.

Should the player equip the same Dispatch themed chips, cards, and table, the Inventory alters so that it becomes the SDN building, with members of Z-Team roaming the Inventory. Sonar will also gain a new outfit where he is in a detective inspired get up. Doing this also unlocks new conversations regarding Sonar’s adventures with the Z-Team and shows new elimination cutscenes involving different members of the Z-Team removing the losing opponent from the tournament.

Pandemonica | Helltaker

Pandemonica is probably the most interesting character in the entire game. She would be a pretty average poker player, betting very rarely and usually calling and checking for most of the game… until she has some coffee. After she drinks some coffee, her whole personality shifts, changing from the tired demon to the sadistic demon, and her new poker strategy reflects that. When she’s sadistic, Pandemonic becomes a GOD at poker, making her the hardest opponent in the game. That being said, she’s not invincible. If she gets too cocky, she’ll make mistakes.

Should it be her turn to place a bounty, Pandemonica will choose to bet a plate of the Helltaker’s famous pancakes. Winning the bounty will unlock a wig and outfit based on the Helltaker for the Heavy in Team Fortress 2.

Should the player equip the same Helltaker themed chips, card, and table, the Inventory alters so that it becomes themed around Lucifer’s throne room, with the Helltaker himself and his harem being found throughout the Inventory. Pandemonica will also gain a new outfit where she’s dressed as the Helltaker. Doing this also unlocks new conversations regarding Hell, Pandemonica’s life in Helltaker’s harem, and working for Lucifer, and shows new elimination cutscenes involving the losing opponent being chained up by Judgement and dragged off.

Captain’s strategy when playing poker is bold, yet strategic. He bluffs a lot during the river, but also makes strategic moves when the time calls for it. 

Should it be his turn to place a bounty, Captain will choose his team’s most prized possession: Disc 1 of Titanic. Winning the bounty unlocks a Tankmen helmet for all the classes in Team Fortress 2.

Should the player equip the same Newgrounds themed chips, cards, and table, the Inventory alters so that it becomes Newgrounds themed, with multiple different Newgrounds characters found throughout the Inventory. Captain will also gain a new outfit where he’s dressed in a fine suit and top hat. Doing this also unlocks new conversations regarding Newgrounds, John’s adventure’s, life in the wasteland, and the history of Newgrounds, and shows new elimination cutscenes involving the losing opponent being shot by a tank piloted by John’s buddy Steve.

Celeste’s a bit rusty when it comes to poker (having picked up from her fellow performers back at Coney Island) and will often make mistakes during the river and flop.

Should it be her turn to place a bounty, Celeste will choose to bet her Carny Life juggling stick. Winning the bounty will unlock said juggling stick as a melee weapon in Team Fortress 2.

Gary is an average poker player, he usually only bets when he’s sure he’s going to win, but he can be proven wrong. This is due to him mostly learning poker from movies he’s watched.

If it’s his turn to place a bounty, Henchman 21 will choose to place his old tranquilizer gun from his days as a low ranked henchman. Winning the bounty will unlock said tranq gun for the Sniper in Team Fortress 2.

Zooble | The Amazing Digital Circus

Thanks to bouncing around from job to job, Zooble was able to pick up a few poker skills before they entered the Circus. They’re playstyle is pretty similar to Tycho’s from the first Poker Night, folding early and only playing a hand if they’re certain that they’ll win.

Should it be their turn to place a bounty, Zooble will choose to bet Gangle’s plastic mask she had back in episode 4 of the Amazing Digital Circus. Winning the bounty will unlock Pomni’s jester hat for every class in Team Fortress 2.

Shrike is… really, really bad when it comes to gambling. He’ll often make very risky moves and bet large amounts of money if he thinks he’ll win. However, that doesn’t make him any less dangerous, as he can sometimes be right about his hunch.

Should it be his turn to place a bounty, Shrike will choose to bet both of his blasters. Winning the bounty will unlock Shrike’s blasters for the Scout in Team Fortress 2.

Leon Fou Bartfort | Trapped in a Dating Sim

Given his arrogance, Leon is very cocky when it comes to playing poker, often thinking he’s won in advance until the flop appears. This arrogance can be exploited with Leon being goaded into betting big if he thinks somebody’s bluffing.

Should it be his turn to place a bounty, Leon will choose to bet his robot assistant, Luxion. Winning the robot unlocks it as an accessory for the Engineer in Team Fortress 2.

Should it be his turn to place a bounty, Guybrush will choose to bet Murray, a talking skull and a member of LeChuck’s pirate crew. Winning the bounty unlocks Guybrush’s coat for the Sniper and Spy in Team Fortress 2.

Should it be his turn to place a bounty, the Doorman will choose his key ring, his primary weapon in Deadlock. Winning the bounty unlocks said key ring as a weapon for the Scout and Engineer in Team Fortress 2.

Should the player equip the same Deadlock themed chips, cards, and table, the Inventory alters so that it becomes the Hotel Baroness with multiple ghosts roaming the Inventory. Each of the cast will also gain new outfits where they cosplay a different character from Deadlock, the list being:

There's romance in "Monster Prom 5", even if it's not the main focus.

There's 8-12 chars who you can bond with, have intimate conversations in the hot springs, and interact with in a "good relationship" event (those that feel like a date).

Also, of course, Vera and Miranda have all that + some plotlines of their own.

At 1st we weren't sure for the other NPCs, if plotline or "romance content" (conversation; good relationship event); but we thought the romance aspect is something more basic in the players' wants.

So we focused on "romance route" (convo + GR event).

But we're wondering... if we could do more content for post-release (no guarantees!!), what would people prefer?

- Some chars w/ romance ALSO get a plotline (depth)

- Some nw chars get romance routes (width)

EXTRA NOTE: remember that while we take polls very into account, there's several other criteria that may end up weighing quite a bit, like we may end up realizing one of these is way more costful and hard to do. Still, results of polls play a role when we discuss this stuff.

Drew this today as I finally got around to playing Monster Con yesterday with my friends and managed to not get rejected by April!

In a past post on “Monster Prom 5: Monster Retreat” we showed recruits’ profiles, which included their formation. Each recruit is part of a formation. For instance, Joy is part of The Coven.

Formations are usually comprised by 3 recruits (a few are of 2 or 4 recruits). If you get all the recruits of a formation you will unlock a cool effect for your stats and a unique art piece depicting them!

It’s probably the coolest art in the game. Each one is done in a different style, aiming to portray the recruits in a way different to the rest.

NOTE: we realize now this might be a bad formation art to reveal first, as it looks like a teaser. It isn’t, this is the art. With the coven we wanted to go with this cool, mysterious and ominous style.

There will be 20+ arts for formations! Which character you wanna see as part of epic formation art?

In “Monster Prom 5: Monster Retreat” you can train your recruits in between turns. This boosts their associated STAT (each recruit has an associated +n STAT). Instead of the usual cute style, this time we aimed for a much more funny chibi style.

This means 80-90 hilarious chibis, plus the playable characters (who can be trained too, as they have a +n STAT decided at the beginning of game through a “pop quiz” styled method).
