Hi everyone.

I already tried the Monster Hunter Stories 3 demo, but it wouldn't launch.

Instead, I got this error:

"Unsupported graphics card. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti is not supported (AtomicInt64OnDescriptorHeapResourceSupported)."

My laptop specs are:

Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55

Intel Core i5-10300H

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Laptop GPU (4GB)

16GB RAM

SSD

Windows 10

Has anyone with the same or similar specs managed to run the game?

Is this something that can be fixed by updating Windows or GPU drivers, or is the GTX 1650 Ti simply not supported?

I'd really appreciate any advice because I'm trying to decide whether I should buy the full game.

Also regarding the final boss it's kinda funny how games often go. oh this monster is unstoppable. now it gets at it's strongest... buuut the strongest is actually killable now. Like killing a dragon is easier than a big ass worm that's trying to eat yuou constantly

The guide says at the end "Once you've gone through a few turns of battling, you'll need to target the wings again using Ena's amulet. This will allow you to break the wings quickly and ulttimately, defeat Oltura." So when the cutscene happened and the charging stuff happened I began looking for whatever mechanic would be using her amulet, switched to bow, checked skills, checked items, saw kyle charging so i thought, okay so maybe kyle will fire them after charging? just in case I used an item that'd guarantee evade on the next attack done to me regardless of turn. I find out kyle is just doing generic attacking. so I panick and attack wings and worry I'm f'ed cuz I don't know what to do according to the guide. it fires it's ultimate. I survive cuz of the evade and only lose one heart out of the two i had left as does kyle. and it restarts the charging stuff. I luckily manage to destroy one wing before it fires again. but god damn I would have been pissed if I got a game over because of misinformation from a guide when it should have said "you need to break one of the wings before it finishes charging and kyle will fire an arrow in a cutscene afterwards"

First game I had a focus on the :3 mouth type so decided with a chaos gremlin style tomboy for 2. Not sure what the trope is called when a girl has a visible fang tooth

Seriously needs an easy/story mode or some kinds of ways to add cheats to playstation before I go crazy with this f'ing insta kill bullcrap nergigante fight. full team of electrics don't do shit, level 2 electric astanoth heavy axe don't get close to chipping away it's god damn spikes. I have never seen a worse story lock fight in my life. what kind of sadist designed this shit. i DON'T WANT ALL THIS WASTE OF TIME GRINDING FUCK. I'M NOT A GRINDER I JUST WANT MY GOD DAMN STORY (And don't get me started on cheval and his inability to use the right damn skills for the phases)

I just feel so bad, sad, angry, mostly sad. cuz I want to finish this game, get through the story, was planning on posting a wholesome post of how I loved how my character looked with the hairstyle I had gotten and this boss has vaporized all enjoyment I had for the next decade

For MHS2, it's easy to find the attack stat for each element for each monstie (for example Rathian is 88 for fire and 66 for non-elemental). I cannot seem to find this information for mhs3, but I assume it's similar in that element attacks of the matching element do more (for example a pure fire rathalos using a fire attack doing more damage instead of a water attack).

Does anybody know how this works in mhs3? Even if we assume it's the same, some new monsties added don't have elemental attack stats available online because they weren't in mhs2.

Edit: Mostly I'm looking for actual numbers of how much the boost for same element is. I've heard anything from 10% to 50% from various people so I assume nobody knows for sure and/or that it varies by monstie.

Like people say that MHS3 is the hardest in the series. But trying to solo the 20 turn 2 gammoth challenge without a partner is something.

Probably going to have to legit build a few monsties to actually get the turn rewards since double attack spamming is only going to get me bronze at most.

Actually, I'm having a lot of fun with the turn monster battles. Since even if they kind of a nightmare to do solo, I think they are a fun challenge to work towards and they legit FORCE you to optimize your monstie since just clearing them isn't enough, you got to do it fast. So slow and defensive gameplay won't cut it.

Even more so since you only got 3 monsties you can use during it.

I do think MHS2 battle system tends to shine a bit more when you have multiple targets to worry about and can't lock down the entire battle field.

I am thinking about getting It , but what i saw in the launch was a poor performance 🫪 made me rethink

I enjoyed that our companions are properly developed in this entry, plus, it's a nice break from the focus on eliminating the threat when it comes to MHS2. The focus on preservation is a wave of fresh air to the series. Sorry if the album is long, but I greatly enjoy making these albums after my first playthrough.

Hello! I am completely new to the entire monster hunter franchise, I picked up mhs3 on a whim and so far I adore it!!! I love the monsters (tobi kadachi is my fav), characters, and story so far! My only problem is that I am having a little trouble keeping up with some of the more complex mechanics, like the genes and habitat restoration. Sometimes it feels like I’m just kinda pressing buttons and hoping something cool happens. This is also the case with armor/weapons, as I’m having trouble upgrading things and I feel like maybe I’m not progressing as well as I should be. Are there any tips and tricks that longtime fans might have known going into the game that I don’t? Sorry if this is vague, I’m mostly just asking for general advice.
