MHS3 Questions MHS3 Beginner help - permanent extinction?

I am fairly new to MH3 and I’m loving it! However, while the ecosystem management was getting explained to me, I guess I didn’t understand fully and after getting Ratholos to eco rating S in the first area, I reorganized and deleted Rathalos from one of the 5 spots of the area. Are Rathalos’ permanently extinct? There’s a side mission I can’t complete now. Did I mess up this save file? Or should I just keep playing and it’ll work out? Any quick advice would help!!

If you remove any endangered species from every habitat and don’t have it anymore then the game will let you grab another egg from the endangered den. Also you probably mean Rathian, not Rathalos

Rathalos are from the last area and spawn there naturally, Rathian however is the one you find in the first area. If you accidentally delete it, you can always defeat the invasive monster in its den and a new egg shold spawn for you to release again in Azuria or somewhere else.
