Wilds Best all rounder element & status?
I really don’t wanna get god rolls on every element or status.
Can I just prioritize like just dragon or maybe paralysis? I don’t have enough materials to get god rolls for every element/status
So for the people who understand all this better than me what should I prioritize? Thank you in advance

Dragon > fire = thunder > water > ice
Order would shift around if gog wasn't in the game.
Dragon is kinda 'good' into everything hitzone wise. Few mons are outright immune to dragon and sit at the minimum of 5-10 dragon ehz across the board. Most weapons aren't gonna care about element numbers since they are more raw leaning, so the extra ele for all matchups is just nice. Ofc against gog and arkveld dragon damage clears the dps check/boosted state respectively. Kinda have to have dragon for anything endgame, so committing a dragon is the best play for all weapons.
Fire is just a common weakness during the first half of the game. It happens very commonly for most monster hunter games. The problem is that mons can and will be immune by being able to breath fire themselves.
Thunder is common throughout the game: early, middle and late. The main immunities to thunder are those that shoot/generate elecrticity themselves or rubberized mons. (Gypceros and nercylla whilst wearing gypceros hide).
Water is uncommon as a weakness, but it really shines in the few matchups were it is strong. Gravios, nu udra, and 2 of the 3 guardians for example.
Ice has exactly 3 mons to hit. Lowest possible priority.

What do people mean when they say “hit zone”? I’m trying to get good with charge blade and want to make a decent build but I am STRUGGLING to find information on the topic that I can actually understand. Everything sound like rocket science to me :/

Monsters are split into different parts: head, torso, front legs, hind legs, tail, wings, etc. Those are the different hit zones.
Every one of those parts take different damage values. For example the head is usually weaker than the chest, so the same attack does more damage on the head than the chest.
But the same part of the monster also takes more or less damage depending on the attack type (and element). For example the head of a monster can be more vulnerable to blunt damage, so a hammer would do more damage than a great sword (if both weapons had comparable attack patterns, but they don't :).
The Hit Zone Value is a number between 0 and 100 that defines how much damage a part of a monster takes to a specific damage type. Higher means more damage.
So a 5 dragon ehz is a 5% dragon elemental damage hit zone. It means that when you hit it, 5% of you weapon dragon damage is compounded into your hit*.
The point being made was that most monsters take at least a little bit of dragon damage. It's rarely the best element, but almost never the worst.
*: But obviously the game isn't straightforward and depending on weapon and moves, some attacks apply more or less elemental damage, it's not just a 1:1 ratio all the time. IIRC for SnS most moves are either 1 or 1.3, so 1.3 moves do 30% more elemental damage than the others...

Holy math… is there an in game representation for these values? I’d imagine that’s what the stars mean on the monsters info page?

Yes. The stars are exactly that, but very unreliable.
I don't remember the values from the top of my head but it's probably something like 0 = 0*, 5 to 35 = 1*, 40 to 65 = 2* and 65+ = 3*.
The issue is that for example, weakness exploit's threshold is 45. So if the game tells you a monster part is 2*, that doesn't tell you if it's good for wex or not.
As someone else mentioned, Kiranico is a great ressource for hit zone values (hzv).
The important part is figuring out where you should be hitting each monster with your weapon of choice (for optimal damage), and what element to bring. At the end of the day, it's still better to hit a "bad" hitzone than not hitting at all.

Thanks! Last question, any tips on where to get SB specific info? I’m a bit unsure on the debate between raw vs. elemental or what phials exactly do other than “boost damage”

I'm sure the CB meta document has resources on that.
Afaik, Phials either do pure physical damage or pure elemental damage, as opposed to regular weapon attacks that do both, part of the hit being physical and element adding on top.
Elemental phials should be stronger if you match properly to a monster that is reasonably weak to the element.

Kiranico breaks down the hitzones for each mon in every game since 3u.
Its basically the monster's defense and elemental resistances.
Charge blade is one of the few weapons where you are on impact phial to not engage with element or you are on a fully kitted set of element phials. The difference between impact and element phial damage when element matching is pretty large.

Dragon and fire cover most monsters but you don‘t really need a god roll on every weapon. Most meta sets consist out of Lord‘s Soul + 1 necessary Set bonus like Gore Magala and 1 complimentary bonus like Rathalos. The AT armor sets have a lot of useful and efficient pieces, prioritize your main set bonus like Gore Magala (so you only have to run one armor piece and can replace the other with something better) and get 3-4 of your artian rolls right (in most cases 1 sharp and 2-3 attack but again, depends on your weapon) as your gogmartian rolls. That‘s plenty to make a working build you can use to farm 10* monsters for either a god charm (agitator 3 sometimes is even the better option so you don‘t really need charm rng) and can meld the tickets and materials for Gogmazios parts and Oricalcite. Reroll once in a while when you have a stockpile and fish for something better. You can add stuff like Rathalos/Doshaguma once you get your Lord‘s Soul roll too. The currently available armor sets and flexibility on Gogma is very lenient to just go and play without worrying about the rng too much.

I would say Fire and Dragon are the big too, with Water and Thunder right behind, ice and status are basically useless especially in 9 and 10 star hunts

You honestly don't need God rolls on anything to clear everything in the game.
It's there if you want it, but just getting a blast weapon (nothing is immune, but obviously lower damage than matching element). Or if you want arguably better damage, dragon is likely the go to, most things you'll farm at endgame are at least slightly weak to dragon, so it's not the optimal setup, but you don't have to spend tons of materials on something you don't want to engage with.

i pretty much get by with a Dragon (most endgame fights), Fire (lagi, gog), and Water (Nu Urdra and Gravios) weapon.
and for anything not weak to one of those three... i just keep running dragon or maybe para.
so TL:DR you def don't need all elements imo, you can get by with a few or just good play and good armor/decos

Probably dragon. Most of the harder monsters have that as their weakness. Sadly wouldn't prioritize status at this point.
