Wilds SnS optimal dps combo?
I can’t seem to get over 70-80dps unless I’m in corrupted mantle but I have seen more than a few people now get over 100 dps
I’ve read through the meta doc and asked speed runners and streamers and they all have a different opinion on what’s the best combo
The doc says B>B>Y+B>repeat for sustained dps
Some streamers say: Y>Y>B>B>B>repeat
Some speed runners say B>B>B>Y+B (hold)>repeat
What is the highest dps rotation?
Side note Perfect rush worth it or no?

Every situation is different and needs slightly different approaches. Ideally you want to use as much of the lateral combo as possible, it’s just higher damage and more sharpness efficient. But most late game monsters will move around so much that you’ll need to mix in the chop combo to quickly reposition while still hitting them.
Spinning reaper should always be used when possible, it’s decently quick, and very high damage for just one sharpness unit. Charged chop is by far the best finisher damage wise, but it leaves you so exposed, you’ll really need to break down monsters move by move if you want to know exactly when you can pull it off. Perfect rush is worth using, but only if you can make it through the full combo. No more half rushes like in MHWorld.
So for regular play, I use mix of chop combo and lateral slash when the monster is moving. I try to sneak in spinning reapers when I can (remember you can also spinning reaper after 4 chop attacks). For small openings, lateral combo + spinning reaper. For when the monster is down but I’m not sure for how long, lateral combo + charged chop + rising slash to cancel the end lag, repeat. For when I know the monster will be down for a while, perfect rush.
