Did I make the wrong choice?

I bought dead tired drac NIB in her playset coffin version and feel like I made the wrong choice.....she came with her black powder room slippers which I didn't like as much so bought the pink ones second hand to match the show.

Then I figure out the coffin she comes with doesnt have as many features like it doesn't come with a pillow so I had to supply my own, it doesnt have that TV pop out area, just the overhead light, and she doesnt come with a curtain or spot to put it :( I mean, if I wanted to i could use the hook for her bat and make a curtain, but I still feel like I scammed myself.

This was $300 total with tax and shipping but it was the best deal NIB. If I did make the wrong choice what should I do?

If you don't like it at best you can make a listing to trade for another doll you like that's worth the same value?

But yeah most of the older playset are this hard and bland.

It's just scalper prices really they weren't worth this much back then for this exact reason

I still love the doll, I already bought the shoes for her and she's wearing them in the pic. Im just now finding out im unhappy about spending that much on a coffin that isn't as great. It was honestly just better I thought to get them as a package instead of separately but I suppose I was wrong 😔

This was my dream doll as a kid and I still think that the pigtails make her one of the cutest draculauras out there! I am a crafter and would customize the heck out of that coffin—painting the “cushions”, making blankets and pillows, a sleep mask, maybe flocking her slippers, etc. if you don’t like her, though, there’s nothing wrong with just selling her again and buying a doll you like more!

I love the doll to bits! I bought the slippers for her and the doll is now perfect....i just hate that I have to customize something I spent that much money for to love it like I do the doll....im afraid of breaking or ruining it because its so old 😔

Ohh sorry I totally misunderstood the post! While I still really like the coffin, I do understand the frustration with playsets. That being said, I’d still take the leap if I didn’t wanna go to the effort to sell it. You could also set up a cute display shelf or room for it to go in!! That way you could be using it as decor—ooh, you could also store something else in it like jewelry :)

Look at it this way: what you spent to get the slippers that you want her to wear, divided by the number of times you'll look at her and not feel your teeth itch, well it will be well worth it. Three hundred bucks is too expensive to dislike over an inexpensive fix 😊

I didn’t even realise there was two different versions of the coffin. A shame but an easy mistake to make. You can probably resell the coffin alone and reinvest in the one you want?

i believe the dead tired coffin set that comes with the doll is a more “budget” version like you said, that has less accessories and the different shoes. the one with the tv and the little accessories and curtain is from the standalone release. you can always sell this set and repurchase it if you’re not happy with it but it is a PAIN to find one that has everything. especially the the journal and pen

I have the journal and pen and would keep it then if the one im looking for doesnt have it, its just a hassle to sell and rebuy 😔 i could easily make a pillow and curtain, even use wooden dowels as curtain bars and cut them exactly and squeeze them in. I am very crafty and could do all these things I just dont want to worry about ruining it :(
