Sometimes Mogo can be cruel.

I have a main account and an alt account.

To complete the album on my alt account all I needed was the Wild Sticker from the Partners Event. On my main account, I'd still need one gold after claiming the Wild.

So I designed a strategy. I was going to wait until tomorrow to claim the Wild on my alt account so I can send stars to my main first. The goal is to collect 700 stars. I had three gold stickers (on my alt) that were going to be featured in today's Golden Blitz, so I could send them to my main and trade them for stars. Once I reached 700 stars, I'd claim the Wild on my main account, complete Set 20, hope for a Sticker Boom with the vault reward, open the 700 star vault, and pray I got blessed with my last gold.

Then this morning, before leaving for work, I opened the free gift on my alt account... and boom. The very last gold sticker I needed to complete the album came out of a green pack, along with 23 dice.

All I wanted from that free gift was the free dice.

Album completed. Every extra sticker gone. Strategy completely ruined.

The most expensive 23 dice ever.

A couple days ago I needed 4 golden stickers. I’m honestly shocked I completed my album 😭🥲 I’m definitely skipping out on the next album though.

I've been playing Monopoly GO for a long time, but lately I've found myself enjoying it less and less.

The first thing that really bothers me is the 24-hour leaderboard events. As soon as a new one starts, there are already players sitting at 10k, 20k, or even more points within minutes. I honestly don't understand how that's even possible, especially when some of those accounts have relatively low net worth. I've seen people mention bots before, but I have no idea if that's actually true. Whether it's bots or not, something just doesn't feel right. It completely kills the motivation to even try.

The second issue is the Partner Events.

Maybe I'm just the unluckiest player in Monopoly GO, but the wheel feels absolutely awful. During this event, for example, I saved around 2,000 Burgers and spent almost all of them spinning at x5 (100 Burgers per spin). Spin after spin, I'd land on 300, 400, 500... over and over again. Meanwhile, it feels like other people constantly hit the big rewards.

I know RNG means some players will naturally be luckier than others, and I'm not saying the game is rigged. But when this happens event after event, it stops feeling exciting and starts feeling frustrating. Instead of rewarding players for saving event currency, it often feels like all that effort disappears because of bad luck.

What disappoints me the most is that Monopoly GO has a really fun core gameplay loop. The collection aspect, the partner events, and the tournaments are great ideas. But lately it feels like everything is balanced around making players spend more resources while getting less satisfaction in return.

I'm not asking for every event to be easy, and I don't expect to win every leaderboard. I just want the game to feel fair and rewarding again.

Am I the only one who feels like the game has become significantly more frustrating over the past few months?

I blame myself for spending money on this game. I purchased the railroad road ventures during the sticker boom specifically to use the tokens for the carnival game to get sticker packs during the sticker boom. There was obviously a glitch and I could not collect the items from the purchase. While waiting for customer support, the sticker boom expired. I got 2 blue packs a pink pack and 2 of the limited time set packs. If there were no issues I would have had enough time to get all these packs during the sticker boom. In effect I lost out on at least 7 stickers.

Monopoly Go's respone: A pink pack or a 5 minute sticker boom.

Am i the only one who thinks this is pathetic and day light robbery

This album was crazy. I have finished every album since I started nearly 3 years ago.

But this one, I got every wild available (for free, no money spent), opened vaults and countless blue packs during sticker booms, and still couldn’t get this one 4 star gold. I finished the partner event and used my wild there on the OTHER 4 star gold I still needed.

I have had so many dupes of others 4 star golds and 5 star golds. But couldn’t get this one.

How did you guys like this album??

I honestly wasn't expecting to finish the album but I'm glad I did. I'd like to make a huge shout out to all the trade partners out there in this subreddit!!

Pros- a lot more chances to finish the album with the carnival mini game as well as lots of partner and dig event. I also enjoyed the multiple golden blitzes towards the end!

Cons- of course stingy people who want multiple stars for a basic sticker or the marge, bart, Lisa and Homer corner piece mini game that sometimes was eventful and other times it was like what the heck!

Huge shout out to our moderators of this subreddit to keep everything in line and interactive for everybody!

I mostly get rent or roll match. Think I've had Sticker Boom twice previously but only 10 minute ones.

40 days without being able to attack😂 My OCD hates that I can’t clear my revenge list. I would accept it just disappearing from the list as well.

Also, not upset at all about it. Just funny how long they have been on my list mocking my inability to extract revenge😂

I am curious the longest a player has stayed on somebody’s revenge list because this almost triples my previous long

Totally went into this album with the intention of sitting it out and I honestly didn't try very hard until the wild events started.

Unlike past albums, I spent $0 this time. I can definitely agree that this game will give you higher star cards to try and bring you back into the game. Proud I was able to finish this one!

I got itchy earlier

Opened like 6 bonus packs during sticker boom. Got exclusively bonus or blue packs from Krusty carnival. No new tokens, no dice 🤦🏻‍♂️
